Little Rogue Kitty
This story's title really was it all. Asher found his "mate" and even though he wore another's mark, in Asher's mind, It "Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers!" Be forewarned there is a great deal of violence perpetrated, and threatened by the story's villain, a rich Weretiger prince. Untouchable due to a powerful family and fantastic legal representation. The beginning of this story is suspenseful and sad.Dan is a Domestic House Cat Shifter. He has really suffered for many years. His Tiger shifter mate rained down unspeakable abuse upon him. One horrific threat he uttered was that he'd use a hammer to break Dan's legs to keep him from escaping. Unlike larger shifters, Cat shifters heal at the same rate as Humans, meaning his suffering would have been incomprehensible if the shock or selfie didn't kill him quickly. His body was so malnourished there was no fuel to help with the healing process. All this and the years of atrocities he witnessed & was subjected to, took it's toll. Though he was never allowed to shift, Dan was kept in a cage like an animal. He was half feral by the time he had a very slim chance to escape. When he did get out he shifted into his Cat and went rogue. His survival depended on not getting caught, finding food, and not being killed by a larger animal. It was a miracle that Asher was in the park eating when a starving cat stole his sandwich. It was Asher's patience, instincts, and kindness that finally gained the Rogue's (partial) trust. Asher himself had suffered and survived something unexpected. An inner sadness that Dan could empathize with. Luckily Asher had a wonderful set of friends who were there for him and were now prepared to help Dan if given the chance.Unfortunately Dan's crazy clever former mate had not stopped searching for his escapee. And the Weretiger had an apt punishment all set when he located & brought Dan back "home" to his cage.

I enjoyed it. πππ
Dan was a tabby cat shifter who had escaped a very abusive and cruel mating causing him to remain in his cat form, until he meets Asher. I thought that it was cute the way Asher would take care of him and talk to him while he was in his cat form. The storyline was well done with a plot that held my interest. The ending was so sweet and I always love a very happy ending. =)
