Another quality HILTI product
After buying a heavy duty HILTI drill recently I was so impressed that I bought this drill simply because it was a HILTI. I was looking for something a little smaller for everyday use. This drill is exactly as described by the seller and although it it relatively lightweight it is as powerful as some of the other bigger drills that I have used from other manufacturers. The drill is easy to use and comfortable, it has all the basic functions, an adjustable removable side handle including a depth attachment. It has two speeds and one hammer/drill mode. The forward/reverse switch is on top of the drill unlike the usual location close to the trigger but that is just a matter of preference. So far the drill seems to be of a high quality and the performance is outstanding.

Hammer Drill
This Hilti hammer drill was just as advertised. It drills like there's no tomorrow. I would highly recommend this drill and this seller. I received this drill in a timely manner

put holes in concrete or stones fast, very fast
I had my doubts seeing that this Hilti was assembled in China; but I bought it anyway due to prior experience with Hilti products. The build quality is very high, I found no flaws and it performance is outstanding. On hammer drilling mode with medium size bits (e.g. 3/4"), it make 1" deep holes in concrete and stones super fast - in around 10-20 seconds! Its two rotation only speed and hammer modes make it very versatile tool. It is an excellent hammer drill on its own, but it also replaces my 3/8" high speed, 1/2" high torque drills. The clamp-on second handle looks week but is in reality very secure and I find myself needing both handles as the drill is front heavy and its torque on low speed is significant. The chuck is well made.. very tight and precise.I did however, found a couple of small strange "features". The reverse lever is placed on top of the tool, not near the trigger. Secondly, to select different operation modes, one needs to rotate the chuck a quarter turn or so to allow the new gear to engage (this is stated on the manual). The chuck key did not come with any thing to hold it to the drill or its cord. Also, it comes with 5 low quality masonry bits ( I wonder why they bother to include these). The manual was written in a rather cryptic fashion; you can tell it is a poor German to English translation. Also, it comes with a dust shield but I could not figure out how how to use it (no indication on the manual). But once I put on a drill bit and put it at work, all these nuisances are forgiven and forgotten.
