Using it for watercolor painting. Surface is already slightly peeling from board but otherwise ok

So... it’s hard to rate and review this item considering what it is. I knew what I was purchasing, and considered all the problems I may encounter. Some of them I did, others I didn’t.First, it is board (or should I say, multiple pieces of a board held together with contact paper), which rolls up for “easy” storage or transport. The problem with this is that for it to become perfectly flat, you must attach the rear vertical plank while the board is unrolled on a completely flat surface. This makes it difficult to assemble while traveling or on a walk.Second: The contact paper (think self-adhesive shelf liner) creases from the rolling. So a single sheet of paper on the board will have lumps from the creases. Multiple sheets, or a sketchbook would be fine. Also, the two screws provided to assemble it will pierce the front of the board if tightened too much.Third: Not much in the way of directions. They don’t advise which way to screw the back support plank, so when lifting the board, it will with fold into itself or bow out like a suspension bridge. (The support plank is two pieces also taped together on one side.)All in all... I probably won’t be using this very often. A sturdy sketch book or a clipboard would provide better surfaces, be much lighter, and more convenient. If you absolutely need something this size, and are prepared to layer up your paper, then I suppose it could be useful, but for me, it’s just another impulse art supply to throw in the corner of my studio.

It's a great product. It's perfect for an artist on the go. It folds out and sets up easily.

This product is really clever but the execution of the idea is less than ideal. The surface does not stay flat. It might work for a canvas, stiff pad or block, but with a canvas, stiff pad or block, you don't really need this. For taping down a sheet of paper to sketch or paint, this surface will not do.

Much harder to use. I’m thinking it will break or malfunction.

This was not what I expected but in turn that would be my fault, and although in theory this would have been awesome (as I returned it) the lament itself was already detaching itself from it's base out of the package... Otherwise it truly is a novel idea.

Arrived without hardware, so it doesn’t work. No instructions & no company contact included. Just a stamp on box: MADE IN CHINA.
