First off, 2 stars because of excellent quality.I am 6'4", 320lbs. I normally wear a 42. I got a 48. It is still too small in multiple ways.1. Waist is probably STILL 2 sizes away from being "comfortable".2. The thigh is child-like, in width. If you do squats, or if you have ever heard of squats, these are not for you.3. I am not an experienced lederhosen wearer, but... You have two options - your horn either goes outside of the pants in the front flap, or some serious adjustments need made that I, and I imagine most men, would have trouble with.4. Even if your trouser-schnauzer, legs, and all around lower half fit in these leather pants, the upper portion was about 4" too small, and that is a conservative estimate.In all, Im not sure if someone had 14 too many lagers before measuring this out, but unless you are a normal sized person, this is not the hosen you are looking for.

I'm very happy with these - when unboxing I was amazed how heavy they were - the color is very rich and the embroidery really stands out - for sizing - I am 6'4" 225 wear 36 jeans and shorts I ended up ordering size 40 - they are about a half an inch loose on me but I will be wearing a t shirt and long sleeve shirt tucked in - in the end I'd rather have a little room - my only criticism is with the suspender straps - one is longer than the other and has more holes punched in it so they don't hang even in the front - but after wearing for Oktoberfest I plan to buy a belt and vest to wear with them anyway - but I am very happy with these well worth the money

Stop! Make sure you order the right size, the size guide is correct. I wear a 32-33 inch waist and I ordered the size 48 and they fit snug but aren't tight, I'm sure they will stretch as I wear them and letting out drawstring in the back helped. These puppies are the real deal. I was fortunate enough to travel in Bavaria this summer but couldn't convince myself to drop a few hundred euros on the ledderhosen while I was there. These aren't cheap, but they aren't a cheap product. The leather looks awesome and is high quality and smells good too! Quality product at 1/4 the price you'll pay in a store. Prost!

Great leather/suede material, construction and price. The size around the waist is pretty accurate. However, I could barely fit my thighs into the shorts. My legs are more muscular than most people so I won't blame the manufacturer for it's European sizing. I ended up going up 2 sizes (technically 4 inches) so that when sitting down, my boys weren't crushed and I didn't expose a plumbers crack! I was not going to take a risk and hope they will stretch that much. I like that there is an inner polyester lining so my skin won't chafe against the back side of the stitching. Overall I am still satisfied with the 2+ larger size. Yes, the waist is looser now, but it will give me more room for beer and this year's 10 liter challenge! My legs fit snug however there are buttons along the bottom to loosen in case they feel too tight!

Great product. Exactly what I needed for Octoberfest. I normally wear a 33 in jeans, and I went with a 36 and it's perfect. I'm 5'11, 190 lbs. The leather, buttons, stitching we're all great. I looked at the same type of lederhosen in Germany and they were around 200euro. Would definitely buy this again if I wear this one out.My only negative, one of the 2 small loops that hold the suspender straps down was missing. You don't need them but it would be nice to have both. Other than that, Perfect!

I'm wearing 32" jeans right now, but these lederhosen in size 32" (according to the chart) are definitely much too small. I feel bad about returning them, because they seem well made. Ignore the people who say they are not well made or that they smell funny. I may need lederhosen again in a few months for another event, and I would absolutely reorder this brand, but 2 sizes larger than before. -1 star only because the sizing chart is off, and because I wont look dead sexy this weekend.

The quality is much better than I expected. I'm legitimately excited to wear this for Oktoberfest in Munich!As others have said before, measure your waist at your hips (belly button) and go up one size. I had no problems putting this on and I'm a big guy with large legs. I do wish the straps were a bit thicker, but I have no doubt they'll last based on the quality of the item.

If you are thinking about buying this lederhosen , don't think about it any longer, do it ! I promise you will not be disappointed. This is the real deal and i would have paid a fortune back home in Germany for this. Now my husband does normally wears a size 44 but i ordered 2 sizes larger , so a 48 and it fits perfect ! It has a little bit of room, but better loose then to tight. The only bummer was that one of the buttons that hold the suspenders in the back is broke in half, but it comes with an extra button, now i just have to figure out how to get it on .

The quality is excellant but the sizing information is inadequate and lacks sufficient detail. I ordered on the basis of customer comments but that was a mistake as there isn't a common point of interpretation. I have since reordered using information given on another site which gave lederhosen sizes against waist measurement in inches for the U.S.A.

This was a great value well made proper German lederhosen. My husband received so many compliments on it, as it’s great German quality and good price here on Amazon!

The suede has a nice feel and is easy to clean, we wore it 3 days in a row at Oktoberfest in Munich and all beer stains came off each morning with a suede brush. The sizing is a little small, good around the waist (we ordered a 48 which is good for a 32 waist); however it is tight around the thigh and backside area. I would order the size up next time, but would recommend the product for it's price.

Great quality BUT SO SO SMALL. I ordered a size up as advised but really need at least 3 sizes up. I'm usually a 36" waist so ordered 48 but have reordered a 52, fingers crossed.
