Every now and then a product exceeds expectations! That is this lamp! This lamp is heavy duty and very cool! The lamp is designed for outdoor use so it has a heavy duty cord and an all weather push button switch. It also has a thick glass dome that fits as protection over the bulb. The shade has a nice cloth look and feel, but looks like it would stand up to outdoor use. I read one review that didn't care for the elastic securing the shade. The elastic makes it easy to take off and they include a second shade that allows a different look - a dark shade for light colored walls and a white one for darker walls. I'm using this next to my bed and it looks amazing! I could see from the photo that this was a glass orb light, but what was unexpected was how cool the hand blown bubble glass looks up close! If you like how the photo looks, you will love this lamp!

Have been using this lamp for about five months now. It lives on a North Carolina, south-facing screen porch. It is really nice stuff.. It is quality built. The bulb is completely enclosed in heavy glass. The lamp switch is protected by a rubber seal. The cord is heavy gauge wire with a generous length. The lampshade is a removable fabric stretched over a painted wire frame. If the shade gets dirty from the outdoors, it can be washed. Two shades, a light one and a dark one, are provided. If you like the way it looks and you are ok with the price, then you will be very pleased with this one.

Shades stretched and bo replacement shades are available. Unique design doesn't allow alternative for manufacturers shade. Recommend other outdoor lamps.

We love the look and it has good weight to it. Comes with a brown and a cream colored cloth shade that is easy to put on and take off for washing if necessary. Just be sure to line up the seams in the cloth shade with the frame of the shade so you don't see the seams.

This lamp is larger than I thought it was going to be, but very solid (slightly crooked) with a heavy duty power cord. The light bulb has a glass cover which is not shown in the photo to protect the bulb out of doors and also comes with 2 lamp shade covers - off white like in the photo and a brown one. What I did not like was that they were sloppy putting it together and strips of dried glue were left inside the glass orb which is very annoying. I also wish it had a light in the glass orb. I haven't had it for very long, but so far so good.

I ordered two lamps, both arrived with something like loose hardened glue in globe. You can’t get out without taking the electrical part of lamp apart. Quality parts but appeared to not be assembled straight. Lamp shade is not outdoor material but washable. One lamp I was able to turn upside down to keep the loose glue at top of glove. Nightmare trying to put this back in box with all this styrofoam. 12 hrs and I am still cleaning up the white little balls. Too afraid to reassemble box for more headache with styrofoam.

I bought this lamp in June 2011. It was pricey but was sturdy, I thought, and used in on our 3 season porch. It was knocked over by the wind once and the base bent and the wire frame holding the shade bent. I attempted to bend it back and the entire shade bracket snapped off. Soooo I am looking for a better lamp with a non-round base that will hold up to wind better. The lamp is heavy but if you are counting on it not being knocked over on a screened porch dont count on it.

I am very pleased with this lamp. It came extremely well packaged, and it was easy to assemble. It does come with two separate shades. Both are fabric, and the second one was folded neatly under the plastic wrap that protected the shade frame in shipment. Once you remove the plastic, you’ll see the second shade. It looks nice in the space, and it’s heavy enough that I am not worried about the wind blowing it. It will accept up to a 100W bulb and it has a three prong plug for outdoor use.
