Our comic book frames are manufactured using high quality CNC machines. the entire frame is a one-piece wood frame, no seems or glued joints, and each one is coated with a smooth durable powder coat finish. No other comic book frame on the market can say that! Now even more important, do you want to make sure your framed comic book art is protected while on display? These Museum Edition Comic Book POD's come with a 99% UV safe Museum Grade Acrylic front cover to make sure your prized possessions are protected from harmful UV rays that could fade your comic book over time. A rigid black matting backer board is included to keep your book sturdy and secure inside the frame and simplae to use swivel tabs in the back of the frame make it very easy to remove your comic book and display a new one. Another great feature is the integrated keyhole slot in the back of the frame that securely slides over a screw or nail in your wall so there is no additional hardware needed. We have sold thousands of these frames all over the world and we stand behind our products 100%. This frame will hold any Silver/Modern/Bronze age comic book perfectly and securely, however if you do have a very thick comic book such as a Giant Size, Annual or Anniversary book with 70 or 80 pages it may be better suited for one of our Golden Age size Comic Book POD's. If you do not feel the need for the extra UV Protection of the Museum Edition Frame and would like to save a few dollars on a frame we also offer here on the standard Comic Book POD which has all the same great benefits listed here but utilizes a standard acrylic front cover instead of the UV Protected one.

Just shy of perfect, JUST shy...
I got this display to show off my Green Lantern issue #1 and it was totally worth it. So why just 4 starts? Well here's the situation, the frame is amazing and came in faster than expected (as good Amazon products do). It was well packaged and didn't have a mark on it. The UV resistant plexiglass came with an adhesive paper cover on both sides to prevent scratches and other marks and was removed easily without leaving any residue. It is notable that the plexiglass is not secured to the frame and is held in place when the back is securely on. Although this may seem like a down side, to me it is a plus. If the frame were ever dropped or suffered other trauma and the plexiglass were to be scratched or break it could EASILY be replaced without a hassle or further damage to the frame. When I placed GL into the frame it fit beautifully. There is some wiggle room in the case allowing you to center the comic just right, and the border of the frame is JUST slightly smaller than the comic so looking from the front you wont see the edges of the paper or spine making it look beautiful. At this time I noticed that with that little bit of wiggle room I may just be able to fit the comic in WITH the sleeve AND a cardboard backing, and sure enough it fit! When I placed the back of the frame on top of it all, it had no trouble sitting in the frame. HOW EVER... The back two tabs could not be closed and so that was not a viable option. This is not why I gave it 4 stars tho as I did not expect it to fit anyway. The reason being is that when I removed GL from the sleeve and put it in solo I STILL couldn't get the back tabs to close. It seems like the design was meant to fit JUST the plexiglass and a piece of paper. I had to put a lot (not a little, A LOT) of pressure on the backing near the tab to squish the set up and get the tab to close. While it didn't do any damage to the comic because it was pressed between two flat surfaces I did think I was going to break the frame or glass doing it. When all was said and done (and this is why i gave it 4 out of 5) the top and bottom of the back cover on the frame were protruding. The sides of the back were held in so tight with the two tabs that it forced the backing to bow, and with no tabs on the top and bottom to counteract it this is where my problem is. I didn't have time last night to try but the tabs are held in with a regular philips head screw, and when I get home from work today I'm going to try and loosen them a bit to alleviate some of the pressure. If the screws are long enough who knows, maybe I could still get it in there with the sleeve and cardboard backing as an extra precaution. So in the end... Do I love it? YES | Is it a good buy for the money? TOTALLY | Is it perfect? No... not perfect but it missed it byyy... that much! | Would I buy another? ABSOLUTELY! I have a few more comics I want to frame and I will be buying this again and from the same seller.

best comic frames i have found
i have been looking for frames to display comics for a while and these frames are amazing. holds comics in place without crushing the spine. and it is a very durable frame. the clasps used to hold down the back are adjustable for double sized comics if needed the uv protection is a big plus for me (the only room i have on my wall is across from a window and i am using them for signed comics.) was shipped well protected with scratch protection on the glass in a very thick and cushioned packing envelope. will definately be buy more of these in the future as needed as well as some of the other frames listed on the company website.

Arrived cracked. A decent frame otherwise.
Arrived cracked. Thankfully it was in a somewhat inconspicuous spot so I was able to shore up the crack and conceal it.Fine frame otherwise. The clips on the rear of the thing make for a slightly awkward hang.*Just* fits a comic in a board/bag housing. Doesn't appear to be squeezing it too much but the backing does not make a full seal as is.Looks good on the wall with a picture cluster.

A Satisfied Customer
Wonderful frames. Purchased one, then went for nine more. The frames have a smooth touch finish, fit well, the acrylic cover is excellent, and the packaging for delivery was high end. The lock in handles hold comics in tight, without damaging the covers. Depending on how thick the comic, may effect the bottom of the backside panel - may or may not be flush. Yet all "regular" sized issues look sharp. It is a clean look. Yes I will purchase more and recommend this product to others.

Great frame for holding and displaying comics
I purchased this frame to hold and display my Stan Lee signed modern comic. Great frame for holding and displaying comics, although it could be hard to close the back of the frame with the fasteners if you're trying to display a bulkier modern comic such as mine. At first I thought mine had come without the clear acrylic window, but it comes wedged between some cardboard paper that looks like filler. Overall a great quality frame.

The frame is great, perfect for a recently signed Stan Lee Thor ...
The frame is great, perfect for a recently signed Stan Lee Thor comic. It came in flawless shape and the UV plexiglass has a sheet on it so it will not scratch in shipping. I saw mention of a problem using the back tabs to lock the comic in the frame inside the backing. They are just tight so they won't fall off, loosening with a screwdriver easily fixed this. I appreciated the personal thank you note from Tony on the receipt, few business still do this. I highly recommend the frame and the price is very fair given the quality of the product.

Not a great fit
As many people have mentioned, a comic book does not fit snug and the measurements seem off. It easily moves from side to side. I gave it three stars because it is constructed out of great materials for the price.

This is the perfect frame for your favorite comics
This is the perfect frame for your favorite comics. Don't worry about what other reviews may say about the back bowing, and the clips being hard to adjust. This isn't a negative! The clips can be loosened and tightened once your book is in so that you get a nice secure fit. This isn't a WalMart frame, you get what you pay for. I will be buying more of these asap!
