After reading some of the reviews of this and other similar devices I was a little apprehensive buying this (although it seemed to be one of the better ones). However, on opening the box, in which it was well packed, I could tell this was a better quality product. The casing was well made, the hinge was firm with no excessive play to the sides and the display was easy to read. Using it was simple and the readings appear quickly before your hands get too hot to make it uncomfortable. The colours on the display make readings even easier and it is very easy to clean afterwards.It also appears to measure the air temperature which opens up further uses that had not considered before.Shortlist if you are looking for one of this type of thermometer for your cooking.

This digital meat thermometer is really easy to use, almost idiot proof, the led display/background illuminates different colours to indicate when the correct temperature has been reached traffic light systems, no more guess games or searching for the reading glasses as it also gives you the temp in text, for more specific temp although pre program for types of meats and how you like it cooked(rare, med or well done)It says it’s waterproof but Im not brave enough to try it, as my last meat thermometer was analog and sadly died when it fell in water... Oops !!!!!!Great size to fit in the kitchen drawer or magnet.....great buy...

Seems to work fine, but the beeping and noises it makes is annoying, which you can’t switch off.Otherwise it’s fine, selectable product temperatures. Doesn’t come with batteries tho, which is a little annoying considering the price.

Very good! NOT water-resistant! It was left out in a light rain shower and stopped working, the manufacturer sent me a replacement straight away but the speaker doesn't work, which is fine as I need it for the display.

When my last digital thermometer broke I consulted Amazon and found this one. I ordered it and had it in my possessionwithin a few days. I couldn't be more pleased it has some extra features that my last thermometer lacked. I love the way that it switches on when the probe is pulled out and it is very easy to read. A bonus is the magnet so it can be attached to the fridge within easy reach while cooking. I am very pleased that I bought it.

I'm sure I must have missed the dimensions - but this feels quite chunky. It's also quite stiff to open out - but you can get used to that.As for using it - it seems fine, irritating it always turns on in F and not C and there was a metal clip in the packet that I've no idea where it goes. (Feb 2021 update - allows you to clip it on the edge of a pan to measure the contents, perhaps sugar when making caramel).Other than that - I do like the way the display changes colour from orange to Green if the food has reached the correct temperature.Would I buy it again - maybe, I'd look at others though - but I don't regret buying it. Feb 2021 update - No I wouldn't, too many irritating things - too complicated. You just want to open it, see them temp and put it away, this just doesn't operate that easily.Feb 2021Always been conscious of the stiffness in opening it, initially the metal tube came away but this was easily rectified by gluing it back in, sadly the whole probe assembly has now broken from the probe due to the stiffness in opening - not something that can be repaired so it's time for the bin.Shame really - this on paper had much going for it - but hasn't lasted as long as a £3 simple probe.

Use all the time when cooking a meat joint, saves guessing wether the meat is done or not and is great for letting you know if you have the perfect roast.

I didn't use a meat thermometer before always judged from knowledge, but now I cook for other people I use it as a safe guard. It is really easy to use and has proved accurate so far. Wouldn't be without it now.

Produit très satisfaisant, j'ai testé celui-ci avant de l'offrir a Noël rien à dire pour le moment. Il est assez précis et la prise en main n'est pas aisé.Il me manque plus la dinde à mettre dans le four.

Habe mir das Thermometer als Ergänzung zu meinem Grillthermometer gekauft. Habe beim Kochen in der Küche manchmal vermisst, dass man schnell mal die Schublade aufmacht und ein Thermometer zur Hand hat. Beim Grillthermometer muss man erst die Kabelverbindungen einstecken und und und.Hier geht es einfach, einschalten, ins Fleisch drücken und schon hat man die gewünschte Anzeige.Funktioniert alles einwandfrei, so habe ich es mir vorgestellt. Habe die Temperaturen von Fleisch und kochendem Wasser auch mit dem Grillthermometer gemessen, war beides identisch. Tolles Produkt für einen angemessenen Preis.

Présenté dans une boite avec un tournevis pour le logement des piles AAA (plus faciles a trouver). une notice pas très claire et en anglais mais intuitivement on arrive a l'utiliser. lecture précise et instantanée, indication vocale très pratique. sonde assez longue pour ne pas se bruler , nettoyage aisé . Dommage pour la notice sinon c'était parfait !
