Still holding up rock solid
I was looking for a better way to mount my wheel base than the desktop clamp. During 2020 I was playing a lot of sim racing games and it just wasn't working out. I don't have the space for a dedicated sim rig so I needed something small, sturdy, and portable.I came across the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand for DD and ordered one. I got lucky and scored it just before the big dry spell when they were sold out everywhere.I found the instructions to be spot on and never had any issues with assembly. I was fearful it would be short parts but it actually had a couple extra screws and washers.I did configure mine a bit differently. I used the shifter mount area to secure the Thurstmaster power supply to the rig. This cost about three bucks for the spacers, washers, and screws. But it's all in one, now I roll it in front of the monitor and plug in two cords. The base mount allows for adjusting different angles for your comfort and provides a solid mount for the base. The pedal are also adjustable in depth and angle. I had some concerns over this as I'm 6'4" but it's quite comfortable once setup for your liking.I've had this rig for just over three years now and have no regrets. It's still as solid as the day I assembled it. The portability makes it very nice to move out of the way when not in use.My only gripe is that it didn't include the tray for your chair wheels. This secures your chair to the rig so when you press on the break you don't roll back. My wife wants hardwood floors and now I'm in need of this feature. All in all I would recommend this product and would buy again if needed.

Sturdy, solid setup for the mechanically inclined
People are not wrong, if you require clear direct instructions this is going to be a headache to assemble. That said, it's really good quality and incredibly sturdy. Particularly like the upgrade path they offer so I can eventually move to a setup with a fixed seat when I have the room.Mine came with a manufacturing defect on the shifter arm. I reached out to support, and within 9 days of reaching out I had my replacement part already.

Solid, sturdy, but tough to assemble
Pros:- This is a really solid wheel stand. I'm using it with a Fanatec Clubsport wheel + pedal set but I have no doubts it would stand up to a DirectDrive upgrade.- The caster wheels are a great addition, it's very heavy with wheel + pedals mounted but the wheels mean I can easily move it out of the way when not in use.- The textured black metal looks pretty slick. So only a couple pros but #1 is a big one, it's magnificently sturdy. I had the Next Level F1GT cockpit before this and that was nowhere near as solid.Cons- Mine suffered some superficial damage in transit. Just some knicks, scrapes, and gouges in the metal. I don't really mind but if you like your stuff to be pristine then this is a bit of a lottery.- It's a really pain to put together. Some of the bits are fiddly.- The instruction manual skips steps or combines multiple steps into one image.- There's a QR code for an assembly video at the back but it just takes you to a list of assembly videos on their website and none of them is for this wheel stand.- I'm using the stand with a chair that sits pretty low, so I have the wheel set to pretty much the lowest height. This means I don't have space to mount the shifter attachment. So there is basically a height minimim requirement for the shifter/handbrake mount.- Did I mention it's difficult to assemble? It took me the better part of an afternoon. A lot of that was trial and error, mounting my stuff, realizing I needed to take everything off to adjust the heights/distances, repeat.Verdict: 3 stars, it's a good wheel stand but the minor damage, the assembly challenge, and the fact I can't use the shifter attachment take some of the shine off.

Arrived with missing parts (entire arm that holds the shifter)
The product arrived without an arm (that holds the shifter). That’s too bad because that is the most important reason I ordered this stand.Other than that the unit is very well built and even though it has some scratches the supplies stickers covered those up very well.If the seller replaces the missing parts I will gladly change my review but as of right now it is a heavy paperweight…

Update why from 5 to 4 stars now? Must read.
I live in a one bedroom condo and this is exactly what I was looking for. It was three hundred compared to the GT Track at nine hundred, which I did consider getting. Maybe later. I'm not using a DD, I'm using a T300 with Thrustmaster T3PA pedals at this time; all mounting holes to perfection.UPDATE: After upgrading to the Fanatec Clubsport pedals WITH the brake pedal upgrade kit, I found that nothing including 5 locking wheel casters will keep my chair from moving away from the stand. So I had to add the NLR GT chair add-on. I also added the CSL DD wheel but that had no effect on needing a fixed chair. In hindsight, I would have gone with the F-GT Frame Only Simulator Cockpit with no chair so I could add my on choice of chairs or the complete NLR rig because it comes with casters all around and seat-belts, or another cheaper complete frame and choose my own chair. However, I have no problem with the GT Add-on chair it's nice looking and rock solid - no flex problem because of the recliner much to my false conception on this. The take away here is, if you ever foresee yourself upgrading to stiffer brakes a complete cockpit is a must.
