Game changer
I used barley extract in my small pond for years. Works great for keeping algae from becoming a problem. I use double recommended dosage for maintenance. Works great. I just installed new 6000 gallon pond and have had great results.

Works great!
I used one gallon on a large pond; large enough to pour the gallon from a canoe being paddled around the pond. Pond is about 4 feet deep and roughly the same ground area as our house. It cleared the pond in two days and has remained clear for 6 weeks (so far). I have used bales of barley straw in the past and this is much faster.

Barley extract is amazing!
One of the best purchases I have ever made, in helping me with the clarity of my back yard pond. Works amazingly well. I was shocked! Will buy this by the gallon from now on! I like that it is nontoxic to plants, fish and animals. But what really got me was how well and how fast this worked. I'm forever sold on this!

Helps keep algae down
We have a 1/3 acre pond. I think the barley helps to keep it clear. The bottle probably is not enough for my pond but the water is very clear.

Its OK, but still got algae with barley extract ...
Its OK, but still got algae with barley extract and pond clarifying bacteria, perhaps I got too much fish in the pond. 35 Koi, big and small in a 5000+ gallons pond. Then I discovered from an article if you just use normal peat moss from Home Depot or any building centre, put it in a burlap bag, in fact, I actually triple the burlap bag, use fishing line to close up the top and use some strong string to tie the two corners of the bag to hold it, float in water, after a while it will sink down gradually, no more algae, however, you have to be careful, as it is acidic, after awhile, it actually burnt through the 3 layer of bags, so you have to remove it before the peat moss come out and is all over your pond. Hope that helps
