The Missing Link
I bought this to send the MIDI clock on my DAW to my Moog Delay. I couldn’t be more satisfied. It works like it should and feels solid. I’ll probably order another one and have recommended it often.

Works Great after some Troubleshooting
Cord works great although they did not come with any instructions. You'd think that something like a cord from a keyboard to a computer would be simple, you'd be semi-correct. The cord at first wasn't working, my first thought being that I got the defective cord expressed in some of the other reviews. Moving the cords around (wiggling them) and trying the reverse solution with the input and output cords but nothing seemed to work... Until... EUREKA! For some reason the cord wouldn't power on when I had it plugged into the 2.0 USB port on the front of my computer, although once I plugged it into the 3.0 USB port on the back of my desktop it worked perfectly! I even downloaded a program to test if the keyboards responds to key presses, worked like a charm. If you're willing to give a product a try for a great price, I would recommend trying this!

One of the most useful USB cables ever!
If you are the type to be out and about, and tote your laptop & some sort of MIDI interface around with you, then this cable is a must have. It makes getting those spur of the moment lines captured so much easier and faster than lugging around extra dead weight and equipment. The simplicity can't be beat. You plug in your audio it/out, and plug into a USB. Done. Obviously, the quality isn't going to be nearly what it is from using an interface, but the trade off is great: 1 cable instead of several and no more carting around the dead space and weight of that overpriced interface. If you are piecing together some sort of home studio/wannabe studio, and you don't care too much about the high quality, or are pinched for pennies, this is a great way to get you by. Again, the quality isn't nearly as high as an interface will get you, but you're also only spending a fraction of the cost, so don't expect a huge fraction of the quality. If all you plan on doing is doing basic notation homework for a music theory class, buying this would be absolutely brilliant. If you fall into this third category, the type who is a true audiophile, has invested in moderately decent tools and instruments, and you use a voice recorder when the muse hits you... then invest the ten bucks on this. I see two very legit reasons for this group of people. First, you most likely have friends who bring some of their goodies with them from time to time. It's almost inevitable that you will end up with more instruments than MIDI inputs on your interface. Problem solved, and all you needed was that one last USB port. The second, and more likely reason to invest is this scenario: Most of us have had, or will have, that night where everything is flowing and coming out perfectly. Inspiration is running full speed. And then it happens. your interface decides to flip you the bird. It's an unwritten law, like that waitress asking how that burger is right as you take a bite. Your interface will go out on this night, and all the local toy stores will be closed. If you didn't spend the few dollars now, your whole night of making music has just been shot down, and all those great melodies and rhythms just got washed away like they never happened.

I recommend it.
As a EDM Producer for 1 year and 5 months, this comes in handy very much. It hasn't went out on me yet, there seems to be no major delay, even running through a 4-port USB Hub to my laptop, all data is very accurate and I can't tell any lose of information. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good reliable MIDI to USB Cable. I can now use my cheap MIDI Keyboard for FL Studio, and it doesn't give me any fits with finding it. Great cord!UPDATE: I have noticed a few issues, but nothing that really takes down my rating. My laptop does sometimes quit acknowledging that it is there, however I think this is more because of the cheap USB 4-Port Hub I'm using. If the hub gets bumped then it will lose connection, causing me to have to unplug the USB, re-scan for Midi, exit the DAW, re-enter the DAW, plug it back in, and scan again. The other issue, as some people have mention before, when using a sustain pedal it will claim it as another note, being E5. For someone that uses the sustain pedal constantly through a song, this gets very annoying. It is possible for me though, to lightly press on the pedal, and there is a 4/5 chance it won't register it for a note, but an actual sustain pedal. My rating will be dropped one star, only because of this malfunction. I will continue to use the cord, and update this as I find more about it, good or bad.
