Piano music collection ::Ryuichi Sakamoto Daizenshu (Music score) ピアノ曲集 坂本龍一 大全集 (楽譜)

Variety of songs spanning from relatively early in Mr. Sakamoto's career up to some of his more recent music at the time of the book's printing. I was surprised to see a couple of pieces from async (2017). For me as a guitar player and a long time lover of his music, it has been fun to read and transcribe the piano scores. Each piece contains a short notation labeled "advice" but given in Japanese script. Treble and bass clef, chord names atop treble clef at appropriate points appear for each piece. Except for one one two songs, no lyrics for any of the songs that have lyrics. Front of book has a roughly chronological index in terms of when the song was written, but lists an album that the song may be found on for reference. It looks like the albums listed are mainly piano albums. For example, the album /05 is listed for Thousand Knives song instead of the original 1978 1000 Knives album which had the electronic version of the song. Back of book has an English language index of the songs in alphabetical order. There is even a one page chord chart that shows you which piano keys to play for various chords. Looks like the chart would cover quite a number but perhaps not all of the chords in the book. As an example, for the C chord the chart has a picture for Cmaj., Cminor, C7, CMaj7, Cmin7. But we are not given something like the Cmaj/E, C6, or similar fancier looking chords that sometimes appear in a song in the book. But the reality here is if you read piano sheet music those fancier looking chords are embedded in notation anyway. I just want to say that in general I do not believe this is a book for a beginning piano player. (I know some basic piano chords, but don't play piano to speak of.). As a guitar player, some of the transcriptions have been interesting. For example, the beginning of Perspectives is written in Gb, with 6 flats. Tough on a guitar, so I just transcribed the key into G and dealt with the single f# in that scale. Before Long looks simple enough on the page. But to play a recognizable version of the piano piece on guitar is going to require playing somewhere around 5th position to hit the high notes and figuring out something else for the low bass notes (raising them up an octave, a 5th or a 3rd maybe). I spent a few minutes site playing 1000 Knives and Behind the Mask, and could see that between the chord charts and the piano notation both easier sing along and more sophisticated classical or finger style versions on guitar could be worked out over time. Book itself is soft-cover, and has a spine binding rather than a ringed binding.

It’s written by Japanese. You can see on my pics, still ok with it. I don’t like “ arranged”sheet music ,but this book songs are very closely written original songs. It’s for advanced piano player? but I still love it!!

Im so happy with many scores (originally written by ryuichi sakamoto arranged by other musicians maybe) I dont know how to read japanese letters and chinese characters but it's okay. At least we can understand universal language - music.

原曲にできるだけ近い楽譜を探しておりました。なんと言ってもこの曲目の多さ！63曲もあって、楽譜の内容、少し上級者のレベル、曲目数、ともに非常に満足しております。YMO時代、私の大好きな『/04』『/05』なども含めて、殆どの有名どころの懐かしくて弾きたいと思う曲をほぼすべて網羅している上にこの価格。教授の楽譜は今まで欲しくても高くて手が出なかっただけに、非常に嬉しくて素晴らしいです。ずっと探していた「behind the mask」の楽譜も手に入れることができました。（今までは自分で想像して単パーツで弾いていて、漸く各旋律が重なった形で弾くことができます。）私のレベルは「熱情」の第三楽章を毎日ゆっくりと弾く練習をしているレベルですが、この楽譜を少し練習してみて、やはり一度では弾けなくて練習が必要なレベルで、普段はクラッシックを練習しているため、この本は現代音楽の楽譜として優秀な教材でもあるので、とても勉強させていただいております。変調のない曲もありますが、♭（フラット）や♯（シャープ）が駆使されていて「Perspective」のように♭6つ！の楽譜があったり、細かなところでアルペジオ（一音ずつずらして弾く）等が使われていたりと細やかな配慮があって、もちろんこれは原曲そのものの楽譜ではないのですが、原曲をリスペクトした素晴らしい楽譜であると思われます。原曲はさらに細やかな気遣いが各所にあって、より繊細で趣向を凝らした楽譜なのであろうなと想像ができて、それを教授は何気なく、飄々と淡々と弾いておられるのだな、と「Asience-fast piano」や「Merry Christmas Mr.Lawrence」（1996ver.イントロが素晴らしい！）「Castalia」「energy flow」「SELF PORTRAIT」等を少し弾いてみて深く感じ入った次第です。教授の自伝の『音楽は自由にする』で教授が子供の頃からピアノとともに、勧められて作曲を芸大の先生から習っておられたお話を拝読したので、この楽譜を拝見して、そのことがとても腑に落ちました。私はピアノのみを習ってきたので、このように難しい楽譜を書いて作曲はできないので以前から不思議だったのです。もちろん芸大の作曲科の博士課程というのもありますが、子供の頃からの修練の賜物であることが窺える、やはり、とても賢くて才能のある、しかも非常な努力家なのだと尊敬できる楽譜でした（もちろん原曲はもっと複雑で素晴らしいと想像します。）。一つだけ、「Happy　End」は『/05』バージョンのイントロから始まる楽譜ではなかったのが、あの始まり方が印象深くて好きであっただけに少し残念でした。しかし、これも弾いてみると満足のいく内容であったので、総じて大満足の楽譜の本です。私のレベルで、一度で弾ける楽譜ではなくて、何度か練習が必要なレベルであるのが、練習の目標ができて嬉しいところです。メインの練習の後のご褒美として弾いておりますが、これは知った懐かしい曲ばかり。それが自分で弾けるというところが本当に楽しくて、この本には心から感謝しております。生活にハリと潤いができたように思います。しかも求めやすい価格。63曲も網羅している点。なんといっても弾きたいと憧れたあの“懐かしい曲”が楽譜をめくれば、ほうら弾ける！という喜び。どれを弾こうかと真剣に迷う贅沢。すべてにおいて大満足のピアノ曲集です。

水の中のバガテルが欲しくて買いました。もう1オクターブ高いバージョンが良かったのですが、参考にはなりそうです。千のナイフとチベタンダンスの一人用の譜面があるので、それは試してみたいです。あと、採譜＆編曲者がピアノバージョンしか聴いていないのか、譜面の縦割りにかなり違和感があります。そこは4分の3だろうという所が4分の4だったり、凄く多いのはオケなどのバージョンで3連符で、ピアノバージョンではためて弾いている所が符点8分と16分になっている箇所が頻発してます。A tribute to N.J.P. に至っては8分の7拍子とズッタズタに切り裂かれています。音楽図鑑を聴いていれば絶対にこんな事にならないんですが。本人監修の楽譜やMedia Bahn Live の譜面を持っている方だと、かなりガッカリすると思います。

編曲したものもありますが、playing the pianoのシリーズや、04の、ピアノの演奏をそのまま採譜したものが多くて自分は助かりました。castaliaはYMOのをピアノにしたものではなくて、playing~の2013inYokohamaです。parolibreは2009で、未来派野郎のではありません。オリジナルをピアノアレンジしたものと、坂本さんのピアノ版とどちらを弾きたいかは人それぞれだと思いますが、この楽譜は後者の方が多いです。教授の真似したい人は良いと思います。他の年のを弾きたい人もこれを元にやれば楽だと思います。楽譜の難易度は、playing the pianoなどを聴いた通りです。コードも付いていて、適当にも弾けますし、曲もたくさんあって楽しめる楽譜です。買ってよかったです。

東風のアレンジが今一つ。左手が単調なのでスリリングさに欠ける。
