Average
This stand had the appearance of being a Hercules for a lower cost. I bought it for my tenor. The plan was to place my alto between my 2 sopranos on my actual Hercules stand where the tenor fit safe and snug, but was a careful maneuver picking it up without bumping the sopranos. Right away, I saw that this KUWAN stand could not safely support a tenor and that it was NO Hercules stand. The bell of the tenor does not quite fit the cradle. So I decided to just use it for the alto, defeating the purpose that I had purchased it in the first place. Well at least all four horns were on stands and ready for practice. But I grew dissatisfied with this stand even as an alto in that my Hercules was so much better. The rubber strap needs to be engaged to keep even the alto in place and to avoid wobbling! Plus the strap is not very easy to snap to the other side across the bell. Finally after almost a month, I decided to cough up the extra $20 bucks and get another Hercules. This stand although in weight and appearance looks sturdy. However it is no Hercules. I am not under contract to Hercules either. I learned my lesson. Some times you really do get what you pay for. I sent this unit back. It's just average, not great at all.

It's ok
There a strap that I can't take off and wont hold my alto, also i really have to be careful when using it, the sax moves on it. It's ok for the price and because it's fordable. But idk if I would recommend for an alto.

Great for Alto Sax, does NOT fit TENOR Sax
We have both an Alto and a Tenor Sax in the house. This stand is really nice, folds, and is sturdy. Holds the alto sax easily and quickly. The stand cradles the bell, and a padded part on the stem allows the lower body of the bell to rest. The stand doesn't take much room, and keeps the sax mostly vertical. I would highly recommend for Alto Sax players. (5 stars)That being said, I do NOT recommend it for Tenor sax players (0 stars)! It does not fit tenor at all! The bell rest is too small so the tenor cannot be put in it. If you try it, it can only go in about half way (which is not reliable) and cause the lower part of the horn to bang against the hard metal of the stand. THE TITLE OF THE PRODUCT SHOULD REMOVE THE WORD "TENOR". Do not buy for tenor sax!

The rubber handle not reach
For alto saxophone, the rubber secure tie is not reach to the end. All the structural joints are shaking, not stable. Not recommended.

Good for alto/curved soprano
By unscrewing the wingnut and moving the bell rest to the top hole, this stand becomes capable of working with either, as seen in my pic. Sturdy, yet lightweight. Good bang for the buck :)

Very unstable!
This is not a good stand! It's not stable at all! I damaged my $4,000 alto sax when it easily fell over off this stand! Don't buy this!
