I am a retired design engineer . Frankly I had given up trying to find a replacement well made kettle.Had purchased a considerably more expensive kettle from a different and well known manufacturer and for several reasons had to return it. The Gods must have smiled on me when as a last chance I ordered, based on the apparently genuine reviews , this kettle . From the moment I unboxed and held it , the build quality was obvious . You have to see and hold this kettle to fully appreciate it .The component parts of the kettle , including the base , are not at all flimsy but very solidly made and of high quality material. The spout for instance is made of metal , not part of the glass . It allows the water , when poured ,to flow freely , even when pouring quickly . The kettle sits securely on the base even when vigorously boiling. The lid opens fully when pressing with the thumb , the perfectly positioned button. All in all superbly designed and beautifully made. Of course the blue LED's look good when the kettle is switched on but it is the overall design and build quality which impresses me. This is a kettle which simply does it's job well and as a bonus looks good. Well done IKICH .

My old kettle decided to die after 6 years, so I ordered this one and got the same day delivery which was a very impressive service, and it saved my life as I had guests coming over for breakfast the following day. Well done Amazon Prime delivery!!!The kettle itself looks beautiful and so suitable for my white kitchen, it's blending in perfectly. I love glass kettle as it is very easy to clean and I always think it is safer than plastic kettle. The kettle boils quickly and quietly. It is a great price for a glass kettle!!

We needed a new kettle to match our kitchen's new colour scheme so we went for this one. It arrived packaged well and safely and it was super straightforward to install. It is more of a creamy/grey than a pure white so bear that in mind, but if anything is even nicer than the original picture!It holds a normal amount of water for a kettle and actually boils extremely quickly! The illuminating lights also look amazing. 5 stars, perfect for the job.

Great looking kettle, fast boiling, love that is stainless steel lid,bottom, filter and spout, no plastic contact with hot water at all, so no taste issue .This kettle has overheating and boil-dry protection, light led blue light, and really easy to install and clean as the lid opens widely.Lovely kettle, highly recommended.

Really happy with this kettle. First off, it looks really great, and the branding isn't super tacky. The colour is slightly off white/grey and even though there is plastic bits, it looks really nice with the glass. The button is very firm, if you take it off mid-heating, then the lever stays in the on position, so you have to be mindful. The lid on the top is a bit stiffer, which I actually prefer, it doesn't just fling open and seems more sturdy. Looks great when boiling with the blue LEDs and I like that you can see everything inside for filling, as it comes to a boil, and also to see if there is limescale building up. Heating time maybe a tiny bit slower than my old Bosch, but not really noticeable in the grand scheme. There is a bit of wobble the base when boiling more towards the max fill, but not to the level where it looks or feels like its going to tip or be unsafe. Did not have any bad aftertastes with this kettle. Would definitely recommend, much better than all the kettles I've had before (plastic, aluminium, Bosch, Cookware, etc).

The kettle is good apart from a couple of things. It does accumulate limescale inside on the bottle like all kettles I've had. It does not have a mesh filter on the spout so limescale can easily end up in your cup, but this isn't be all end all because it's fine if you pour at a normal speed and don't use the last bit of water in the kettle. I chose those kettle because of the quick boiling and energy efficiency but I don't feel like it is that fast at boiling. The cups of tea made are never really hot but it's not bad because you can drink it within a couple of minutes. I understand the hard water plays a big part but I'm comparing to kettles I've had previously. Good build. I am keeping the kettle.Edit: fantastic customer service and have solved the issues I have.

Loved this kettle and it looks great. Easy to clean but beware. I suffered a very bad cut on my finger from the underneath edge of the metal at the top of the kettle where it meets the glass container. I use bicarbonate of soda or white vinegar to remove limescale with my hand inside but will have to change that method and soak instead. The interior metal was very badly finished in my opinion. Just over a year now and kettle faulty with base not engaging with kettle. Unuseable out of guarantee period.

Would have liked to give this 5 stars, but after you've finished pouring or filling the kettle, it's quite dificult to get it back onto the base properly, which I find quite irritating. All other kettles I've had have slotted back onto their base really easily, so this one clearly just has a small design glitch.Otherwise it's fine, boils reasonably quickly, and lights up in blue when switched on.The outside does get hot though, compared to plastic kettles, as other posts have pointed out.
