Low power only...
I installed this antenna correctly as fixed station with a good ground. I can interchange antennas at will to an SO-239 style mount.SWR is tolerable across 2m, 1.25 and 70cm. But the advertised power rating is not correct. Using an IC-9700 at 100w on 2m, the coil was VERY warm after transmitting for about 2 minutes. It did not self-destruct. At lower power levels of 5w and 25w, the antenna coil doesn't get hot.
