Great salad dressing mixer/shaker
I got three of these so far!!!Each holds a different dressing inside. I find the key to eating healthy and salads is to have my dressings prepared in the fridge. I make sure that the dressings aren't to thick so it doesn't block the whole. Recommended.

Great salad addition
Great salad additionGreat dressing mixer. Great way to keep you salad fromgetting soggy. I prepare the dressing in the mixer and keep it right near the salad, everyine can pour the dressing once the salad is on the plate. Like this I can save the leftovers and its perfectly fresh the next day.

Buyer beware! Cheap quality, dangerous design, cannot be fully cleaned and can harbor bacteria
I ordered this new Zalik salad dressing shaker mixer based on the description promising that it was heavy duty and that all parts, including the blender mechanism, could be put in the dishwasher. Nothing could be further from the truth, which is why I am returning it to amazon and writing this review for other costumers, not simply asking for a refund from the manufacturer with no questions asked. More claims follow that are false, some a safety risk.First off, this is not a "premium" kitchen appliance. The thin plastic bottle holds 12 oz of dressing (based on the markings). The type of plastic is clear, not listed as BPA free. The seams at the bottom are cheaply made, rough, not smooth.Claim: "Push button"Reality: there is no button on this, just a hand crank.Claim: "Compact"Reality: It measures 8.5" x 5" with the crank (3" without it) - larger than any salad dressing bottle.Claim: "Leak-proof lid so you can easily store it in your fridge without any leaks or mess"Reality: The Zalik mixer has an open spout with no cover. If this is knocked over in your fridge, the contents of the Zalik bottle will spill out.Claim: "The Zalik salad dressing mixer is dishwasher safe so all you have to do is place it on the top rack and you’re good to go!"Reality: The mixer unit has a 3 inch long, 1/4 inch diameter, curved spout that a dishwasher will NOT get clean on its own. To clean it properly, you need to hand-wash it with a straw brush.Claim: " No need to worry about storing the leftover dressing!"Reality: The Zalik mixer mechanism is enclosed within the top and should not be submerged (or have any type of liquid come in contact with it when pouring, an impossible feat - there is simply no way to clean out any liquid that goes inside the mixer unit). Don't believe it? I tested the Zalik mixer with 12 oz of water and you could see the air bubbles coming out of the central spinning mechanism as the water went inside (see video). Where does that liquid go? Does it stay inside the mixer unit and leak out later into the dressing? Or does it somehow go out the spout too? With future uses, does whatever residue that remains inside (ranch dressing, oil, vinegar, etc) mix in with the new dressing? I am returning this Zalik shaker mixer as I am not willing to risk food poisoning due to the bacterial growth that no doubt will happen with a unit that cannot be fully cleaned. As a comparison, I bought the "Chef'n 104-759-258 Emulstir Salad Dressing Mixer, One Size, Arugula/Meringue" in a high-end kitchen store (it's available on amazon too for only a bit more than the Zalik mixer). The Chef'n is BPA free and all parts including the mixer can be pulled apart for easy cleaning. The quality of all parts is far superior than the Zalik mixer. The first picture shows the Chef'n mixer on the left (more compact, with a top that twists and seals closed for storage). The Zalik on the right, larger, open spout with no seal. Note the difference in the plastic, the Chef'n is smoothly finished, while the Zalik roughly finished in the bottom.More about its "premium quality" claims - the second picture shows the thick, heavy-duty bottle of the Chef'n mixer, pulled apart so all its parts can be cleaned. On the right, the Zalik bottle made of thin plastic half as thick, with a mixer unit with two openings, one for the spout and a second to its enclosed uncleanable chamber. Its skimpy mixer paddle is much thinner than the Chef'n. Simply no comparison in quality between the two mixers.PS - Why is safety and quality so important to me? Because my children use their Chef'n to mix their Carnation chocolate drinks in the morning, achieving a thick smooth milkshake consistency in seconds. They love using the fun plunger handle and easily clean it. I ordered a second Chef'n for use with salad dressing, to mix and store in the fridge. With the Chef'n mixer, I am confident I have a high-quality mixer that can be fully and safely cleaned.PS 2 - I cannot find the country of manufacture listed anywhere in the Zalik product or box. Goods that are imported into the U. S. are required to have a country of origin marking (country of manufacture). Their website is nondescript, no address, their phone number begin with six digits that could be anywhere in the US. In other words, if you have a serious problem down the road from using your Zalik mixer, you literally cannot find the company. This raises a huge red flag - I know a problem when I see one, I have reviewed hundreds of products on amazon. Buyer beware!
