This device was just what I needed for a room in which I had no attic access. The installation was simple, straight forward and came with everything needed. The only thing I would change is making the holes in the mounting plate slots. It took several attempts to get the screws to come through the holes without bumping the screws out of place. Slots with accommodating washers would've been a more tolerant means of achieving the same end. But don't let that dissuade you from purchasing what might be for you what it was for me - the only available option.

This is so funny. I was looking at these yesterday at Lowe's and they are priced $12.97. This price is a rip off!!! This item itself looks very strong and I wouldn't doubt it doing the job. I will probably go with this item but from Lowe's.
