Mermaid 67 inch Freestanding Bathtub in White with Polished Chrome Drain and Overflow Trim

I've had it for a few months. My wife and I use it almost every other day and love it. Looking at the CG pictures on Amazon I had my doubts, but it in life it actually looks better than in these pictures. It feels pretty warm, and very comfortable for two people. It came well packaged, and, while I helped the delivery person carry it in, isn't very heavy as it is acrylic.The tub is definitely wider than usual on the inside, and the max water level is pretty high as well. My wife and I are average height, and we fit in it well together, one of us can be fully submerged with just the head sticking out of water, while the other one is in half-sitting position across the tub, with just shoulders sticking out. Width wise, there is more than enough room for legs.The drain and overflow are in the middle, which makes both sides of the tub equally comfortable. Edges are not sharp, so laying hands on them is comfortable when you sit up. The drain plug and the cable mechanism (you need to rotate the overflow valve cover to open/shut the drain) work well. Drain and overflow are not noiseless, but aren't too loud either.My water tank is 50 gallons and brand new; when we shower and then immediately take a tub, that consumes the entire tank. Not a problem for us, but for one person you would need more water, so that's something to consider.My contractor stated that it was not easy to install at all; the reason was that you had to attach the drain pipe to it before setting it down, or something like that. I wasn't involved and know nothing about plumbing, so I don't know all the details. He ended up cutting the ceiling downstairs and connecting it from down below. Not sure that was actually necessary, and my contractor does complain about almost everything I bought, but that's something to look into in advance. There is an installation manual - I don't remember if the tub came with it or I downloaded it from faucetdirect.com - that you can look into.Another thing is that it stands on legs and is relatively light, so if you bump into it, it slides a bit (when empty - the full tub is obviously very heavy). Mine stands against a wall, so that is not a problem for me. I don't know if it can be secured in place with anything other than the drain pipe; if you are concerned about that, I suggest you look into it as well.Ask to the seller: please don't put that ugly sticker on it above the overflow cover. I took it out, and then it took me like 10 minutes to scrape the glue off of the tub. No damage or anything (I just used water and cloth), but a bit annoying. This is a very minimalist bathtub, the sticker looks silly on it. But otherwise, thank you for shipping on time and well packaged.

Ok so here it is. This tub is awesome, large and in charge, modern, clean looking, you name it. It is light which helps when having to move around, not so much when you need it to stay put. It also could use some insulation on the inside to help keep the hot water hot longer and to minimize the noise during filling operations.As install notes i used SCS1500 clear silicone to keep the tub in place and inserted regular fiberglass insulation to the core to keep the noise to a minimum and hot water hot.

I don't normally write reviews, but for this seller I thought I should. So ordered this tub for a matter bath remodel. The tub was delivered via tractor trailer directly to me. Since my neighborhood isn't really convenient to receive a tractor trailer, I met the driver down the road at a local school. I opened the box and inspected the tub as much as I could. Long story short, by the time I could get home and fully inspect the tub the truck driver was long gone. Well, you guessed it, the rib was cracked.So I initiated a product return with Amazon.com and contacted the seller with the problem. The seller worked with me and the manufacturer for a return. It was a armless return with the seller always keeping me posted on the status. Finally, the seller notified me that the manufacturer would replace it and send me a new tub.Just got the new tub today. Took it out of the box before the driver left this time (as they originally instructed me to do). It was perfect. We love the tub and ate so happy we got it through this seller on Amazon.com.Thanks!

The tub looks good. The only think I can suggest is to note the length of tub on bottom. Much shorter than 60” . If I would have known it was only 40” I bottom , I would have ordered the 67” tub. I figured the length on bottom would have been shorter but not that much shorter.

This was exactly what we were looking for. We knew that we had to maximize the space in our bathroom and I have always wanted a freestanding tub in front of the shower. It’s definitely the focal point when you walk in. The shipping was a breeze and there was no damage. Our plumber advised us to leave it uncaulked. So far, so good but I’m also tiny in such a big tub! It’s nice to have the option to remove and clean around and underneath if needed. I have taken a tub every day since it’s been installed.

Nice tub but was sent polished chrome instead of brushed nickel as ordered. Didn't realize it until too late to return. Also paid $300 more than the current price and now have to pay another $100 to get the brushed nickel trim kit. The tub is hollow so we stuffed it with insulation to help with noise and holding water temp. Attractive and comfortable.

I ordered this tub last fall and I loved its clean modern lines but it didn't quite fit in my small bathroom. Tub is high quality but doesn’t match the spec sheet exactly. Drain location is a center drain but the spec sheet shown indicated that there was an internal structure which connected with the overflow and exited the tub on the side. Using the sheet as a guide the contractor stubbed the plumbing and tiled the floor. There was significant cost to re-plumb and tile the floor area. Good tub but I’d suggest waiting on arrival before finishing the stub in.
