I got this for my Guinea Pig. He loves to chew on it and seems to really enjoy having it overhead like a cave. I chose this one thinking he could walk up on it and have a higher perch. It is not strong enough to function as a perch due to the Piggies weight. (Average Guinea Weight). I really liked how the item was made to fasten to the side of the cage and hooks to the cage rungs at the floor making it firmly attached to the cage. My Piggie loves the applewood and chewing on it! So for that reason and the safety attachment I rated this a 4 star. If it could have been a little more sturdy for the weight of the Guinea, it would be 5 stars.

It seems too small for guinea pigs. Might just be my piggies, but no matter what I try they don't seem interested in using it as a staircase. They do love chewing it though

Not great quality but it serves its purpose.

I got this to provide a sort of ladder for my small tortoises. From the floor of their habitat up to a little 2nd story I built for them. It is flexible and has hooks on one end and a screw-in post in the middle with a wing-nut screw to secure it at the other end. The other "hut" is like a bonus. Both made from wood. I'm attaching little wooden circles - also found on Amazon - to the sides as a safety measure to so they won't fall off while climbing up the ramp.

I can tell that every small critter would love this whether as a hideaway or a way to get from one level to another. Can be formed like stairs or left straight.I did notice right from the beginning that as a bridge, steps, or items like this NEED reinforcement if you're providing for full grown guinea pigs. Once it's reinforced, they love it. We started teaching them how to use it as stairs by putting little treats on the levels so the needed to use the steps to get the treats!We did, however move the rings at the end, farther apart to decrease the chance of unlatching and tipping them.I'd give it a try!

The shorter piece is plenty sturdy, but when it comes to the longer one, it is flimsy and would not hold the weight of a piggy without bending down. This product would work well for mice and birds.

This is too big for our cage, I don't remember if there were measurements available.

Product worked as intended, however it was smaller than expected and looked in the picture. I also thought the two could connect together, but they cannot.Please note: I have guinea pigs and attempted to make a ladder for them. Not big enough for the intended use of the product.
