Product arrived in badly damaged box. While the unit itself seemed undamaged, the internal walls of the tank showed an number of marks / scratches.The most alarming issue, though, was the electrical supply cable. A C14 to euro socket cable supplied which is fine for Europe (and has an earth connection), but it's supplied with the nastiest UK travel adapter I've ever seen, which does NOT include an earth connector. Using the product as supplied will mean your unit is NOT connected to an earthed or grounded supply, which contravenes the highly prominent warning label on the unit itself, AND MAY RESULT IN A RISK TO LIFE!Do NOT substitute the supplied lead with a typical PC supply cable, as these are typically unearthed. Use a fully earthed C14 to UK socket cable, or cut off the euro plug and replace it with a UK plug IF YOU ARE ELECTRICALLY COMPETENT.Having requested a replacement / refund for the scratches and unsafe electrical supply, the vendor responded very quickly and asked me if the device was faulty. I connected the unit with my own (safe) power cable, to find that it didn't actually work, and the vendor (again) responded very quickly and offered me a refund or replacement. I elected for a refund, and the vendor asked me to dispose of the unit.I've given the review an additional star for speed of resolution, but don't feel it's appropriate to remove the review while consumers are being supplied with an unsafe product. PLEASE ensure you use a grounded IEC C14 to UK 3 pin cable with the appropriate fuse.

This is an ideal ultrasonic for the hobbyist due to its price it's not as powerful as a professional unit it just takes longer to work. THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY THE MACHINE MUST BE EARTHED. THE LEAD SUPPLIED FOR THE UK HAS AN ADAPTOR THAT GIVES NO EARTH CONNECTION .This is a safety issue as the machine is all metal and filled with liquid. Get an adaptor that connects all three pins or cut off the plug supplied and put on a UK one with a 5 amp fuse. The other option is to find a lead with the appropriate plug on it.

I bought this Ultrasonic Cleaner to regularly clean some carburettors for my son's racing kart, however it has proved really useful for cleaning a lot of things around the house. I'd recommend purchasing some cleaning fluid to go with it, as well as setting aside a decent amount of time to get the unit up to temperature before cleaning what you need to. For the price it really can't be beaten.

The packaging this comes in is ok, except that the cable and basket are just inside the machine without anything to stop them moving around. Mine was fine, but feels like the power lead could dent/damage the inside of the machine.There are no instructions, but it is fairly obvious how to operate. Youtube/google are your friends for working out how to make the most of it (eg lots of people suggest only using water, then adding your cleaning solution and parts to be cleaned to a large sealed jar to save having to clean the while machine every time you use it). 3L is still a fairly small machine. I bought mine for cleaning bike parts, and it will fit one carb body, but you can't fit a whole rack of carbs in. Would probably need a 10 or 15 litre to be able to do that. Bear in mind that the wire basket is fairly clumsy looking, but also has very wide gaps between the wires, so small pieces will easily drop through it. Amazon asks for my "sheerness" rating on this machine. I haven't a clue what that's supposed to refer to, but I've given it 1 star as you can't see through it!

Tried the cleaner and the ultrasonic action works ok, the smaller bath heats up quickly, I got the smallest one.I mainly got it to clean bicycle chains as they are messy to clean and with the quick clips on nowadays its quicker to remove them, you can then clean the gears whilst your chain cleans.However, these units are supplied with a EURO plug lead, The adapter that they supply for UK distribution does not give fault protection continuity, ie the adapter does not connect the earth pin...It is a PC kind of connector on the unit, so my advice is, use a different lead, or, cut the plug off and put a UK one on.Just to be clear, if you use this with the adapter supplied, and the case becomes live, you will get an electric shock that could be lethal.

Don’t order from seller, if faulty it takes forever to get your refund and the seller wont give you a prepaid label.I wanted to return the item as it doesn’t even turn on and the seller kept telling me to cancel my claim and they will give me a refund, and that I won’t have to return the item. Once I cancelled the claim, they told Amazon I don’t want to return the item and provided an address that doesn’t even exist!Really sneaky and just a massive waste of time, battled for months for a refund and now left with a faulty machine. Really disappointed.

Just received the cleaner. Because of other comments, folks may want to know that it arrived undamaged due to excellent foam packing so it was held rigid during transport. It contained a UK lead and plug with a 13 amp fuse (There was also a European adapter, which was unneeded). My only negative comment would be the poor quality English wording on the product and in the manual.Another minor point: in use, the vibrations are amplified by the thin and loose-fitting lid. A circumvention is to place a hefty book on top. But really some seal to prevent metal on metal contact with the lid would be a simple solution.

The 1 star is the 1.3L description, it is that filled to over flowing, usable 900ml before the lid touches the water inside. Photos are with AAA batteries to give prospective only, with basket inside lid won't fit with AAA standing upright. Guess you can always run with the lid off.BUT giving credit, has a nice build, simple to use, runs louder than I expected, maybe because the case is metal but the ultrasonic seems powerful. In this respect I'd give it 4-5 stars.
