Will this lift the patient from the floor? Does it come with a sling?

I have lifted patient from the floor but it is a bit tricky. When you lower the lift arm enough to get the lifting bar and hooks close to the floor/patient, the lift bar and hooks swing back close to the rear wheels and lift cylinder frame. That means you have to push the whole thing farther over the patient to get the lift arm in position to hook up the straps on the sling. Thepatients's feet can jam up under the base frame of the lift or, if they are turned the other way, their head can hit on the base of the lift. It can be done, just watch for this problem.

Can this lift a patient off of the ground onto bed or wheelchair?

Yes. You can lift a person from the floor to the wheelchair. You just have to roll the patient onto a sling suitable to handle his weight capacity. You may fine it beneficial to buy some straps to menuver the patient in the recliner.

is there any type of warranty on the hydraulic cylinder? Mine gave out after 6 months

Misery loves company. The hydraulic cylinder on my lift has failed at 4 months of 4 uses per day.

do all 4 wheels lock?

No, only the two rear wheels lock.
