X-Tempo Designs pok with Case

I have 3 of these devices. They are useful when working. However, after a year or two, they won't program. It could be Windows 10 that is causing issues with them now, but I'm not sure. Also, the support for these is terrible. In fact, they really aren't supported anymore, except for the BTE version which is a bluetooth enabled version.

Let's be clear. This is basically a computer keyboard foot pedal not a midi controller which means that pressing a pedal ion teh board is essentially like hitting a key or a series of keys on your computers keyboard. But if what you are trying to do is access the transport on your DAW so that you can trigger samples, loop etc, this is the easiest thing out there. It comes defaulted with Pro tools Mappings but you can download other mappings. I use it with Ableton Live and it works like a champ. It is sturdily built as well and the wireless connectivity makes it convenient to use. This is a well thought out product. I'm sure you can do much more with it than I mentioned as it seems to support multiplle key inputs so that you can get pretty complex in the types of workflows you want to implement using the X-Temp. But I had a specific application in mind and this works almost out of the box with it. I've tried other products that are midi controller based and this is the easiest by miles.

The POK is great for command/control of your DAW system to stop record, or play a multitude of samples youve setup, it DOES HAVE a learning curve, so dont get frustrated. I emailed the owner, and he helped walk me through some things,..nice setup, wireless connect to your laptop for LIVE stage shows,..the possibilities are endless, if you have the patience and time to set it up right, your GOLD. YOu can actually be th eone man army band, have everything programmed, and just hit what you need for freeflow, or sequenced music.
