Grant 4000 2" Extension Kit

It fit great and it was easy install, with out it your signal switch will rub. Also bought grant 3565 install kit and a grant 838 classic steering wheel, for my 1973 VW Baja Bug.

Fits well and no problem for installation. Just to precise : it is built in 3 main parts: a first part in bare metal (stamped to give the offset) that is mounted in place of your old steering wheel + a plastic sleeve that slides around that metal part (conic shape, smaller on the steering column side) + a black metal plate (seen on the picture with the 3 screws on top) that makes the junction between the bare metal part and the steering wheel. Don't hope to remove the plastic sleeve to see a huge piece of molded shining piece,, it is not built that way ;-) BUT; it is well built to give you an offset and fits nice in my 77 camaro !

Rubber sleeve that covers extension could be longer to cover entire adapter. One of bolt holes had to re-threaded.

I had to use this on my Ghia to get the grant wheel to clear the turn signal and wiper levers. ended up about 1/4 further out from stock but that's fine. quality is good, nice and sturdy. I had to scrape the paint off under one of the beveled screws to get the horn to work.

Got it on time. Quality of the item was at best a C-, the bolt threads were set at an angle which caused the horn ring to bind up. Had to put it in a vise and tweak the bolts a bit.

This adaptor is fine but it would be good if Grant made available a variety of extentions....this two inch one was TOO MUCH for my application. A one inch, one and a half inch, etc. would make dailing in the perfect set up much easier. Make darn sure you want a full two inch extention before you spring for this!
