I'm really impressed with this gadget. It has lots of useful formulas and functions, and considerable stored data that's quite easily retrieved. It appears to be rather substantial, with a good protective case including full-face cover plate. My only (slight) criticism is that the labels for the secondary functions (above the function keys) are quite small, challenging my poor eyesight. One minor correction to the specs... It requires TWO 2025 batteries, not one. Since they probably last a long time, it hardly matters. I certainly recommend this to others, and would buy it again as a gift when appropriate.

If you’re going to work in any machining field, this thing has it all! Took hours out of my college classes (machine trades) just from not having to write out tons of equations and conversions. I lost one, and immediately bought another. Don’t let the price deter you, it’s WELL worth the money. It’s so much more than a calculator.

I've been using this for a few weeks in my machine shop, and am quite impressed! While the pre-stored feeds/speeds/etc aren't easy to use compared to phone apps/slide rules, the rest of the calculator is great! I use it in particular for fraction/decimal math, as well as conversions. Quite solidly made, and the flip over cover is nice. I'm a touch concerned about the chemical resistance of the buttons, but I've so far been lucky enough to keep it away from my cleaning chemicals. I DO note however, it seems to use batteries pretty quickly. After only ~2 months of use in my home shop, I am already getting a 'low battery' warning.

This is a great high end calculating machine. Make sure know how to use all of its' functions.

I bought my son this camera for his job. He read the manuel on how to use it and it really does calculate the feed rates for his machine super fast. He can get the calculations faster than doing just the math. He loves it for work. He is a CNC machinist.

Originally bought this as a gift for a family member who was a machinist for many years. I thought he would appreciate this gift and use it frequently. Although it had all the features he might need, He was OLD SCHOOL and preferred to look things up. Additionally he had a similar calculator he was comfortable with. I'm sorry that I cant give a detailed review, but I am not the machinist with 30 years experience.

If you are a machinist or just a someone that likes access to machinist data, this calculator is perfect. I had purchased the Calc Pro 2 app for my iPhone and found it so useful that when this went on sale, I decided to purchase a dedicated, stand-alone calculator. This is an excellent calculator that I use for my lathe and milling operations. Feed and speed calculations for different materials, cutters, and operations as well as drill tables and tap/die tables. Makes looking up charts and tables obsolete. I highly recommend this calculator.

This is a great product it does it all , but trying to find the thread hight is a pain it the —- it takes half a dozen button presses to calculate the answer Overall it’s a good product
