Sanniti Moroccan Harissa Spread, 14.1 Ounce

I like Moroccan-style harissa much better than Tunisian. The first brand of Moroccan harissa I tried was Mustapha's. I was instantly hooked. But I have not been able to find it on the market for several years, so I have been trying one brand after another, hoping that I would find that wonderful flavor again. Every harissa I've tried has been a disappointment, until I tried Sanniti Moroccan Harissa. Eureka! That is the flavor I have been searching for. I think it is even better than Mustapha's because it has the same flavor, but without the excessive saltiness of Mustapha's. Every spice is in balance. It is delicious on lamb chops or roast lamb. I have also been finding that it is delicious on some unexpected dishes like scrambled eggs, and cheese sandwiches. I'm sure the list will continue to grow. Whatever the case, no other harissa comes even close for me. Sanniti is the real deal!

Great product. I cook a lot of morrocan food and have tried various different harissa’s and this is truly one of the best (for non-homemade). Yes, this is spicy but it’s supposed to be! Also, as others have mentioned it’s a bit salty but that doesn’t bother me — i just don’t salt the protein (i use it mainly with chicken thighs) as much. I love that this has a lemon flavor— reminds me of a preserved Lemon flavor which works out great for Moroccan dishes. I’m very happy with this and will be ordering another I’m sure!

This was so salty, I threw it out almost immediately. To my taste, inedible.

I'm new to harissa so I can't compare between brands. The sauce is great. I'm a spicy food guy and my wife isn't. We both enjoy the flavor. You taste the peppers and the spice is a bonus. It's a bit salty but I'll accept it. The only problem is that I'm not hesitant to try another brand to see if it's even better.Update: after less than a year of LOVING the product, the price has increased 25%. I get it, the flavor is wonderful. But the price point will make me consider other products; I don't think that this jar should be running $10 but that's just me.

I only tried it the first time because it came with a meal service I was trying...and it was love at first taste. Wonderful as a light spread on bread, especially if you toast it in the Air Fryer

We used it to season shakshuska. It was perfect. A little heat a lnd a.lot of flavor.

I am very familiar with authentic Moroccan cuisine and I had hard time finding authentic harrissa. This harrissa is a real deal. It's super authentic and exactly what you find in Moroccan stores and kitchens.I'm surprised to see some people rate this product very low. Please if you don't know what harrissa is and what it should taste like, don't rate this product low.Thank you to the seller for making this best harrissa available to Moroccan chefs!. this is as good as harrissa gets and as Moroccan authentic harrissa as it gets. Very happy to have found it.. Much needed in my kitchen.And I just wanted to add that you can marinate your chicken, fish, or any meat in this harrissa without adding any salt. The meat comes tender and tasty. And it's a must ingredient with many fish dishes. Moroccans also add this type of harrissa to tuna which gives it a really nice taste. Olives with harrissa are to die for. Just give it a try.This is not a type of sauce you eat straight; it's best when you marinate and cook with it. Very quality harrissa.
