I have only used one other brand so that’s all I have to compare it to. Assuming you’re using this as a BBT thermometer, meaning you’re taking your temperature as soon as you wake up, before you start moving and such. Here are my complaints-the beep to turn it on is louder than the other one and we sleep with a sound machine that helps drown out noise in general. Once it’s done, it beeps and beeps and beeps and beeps until you power it off. My other one would just beep once or twice then stop and it was quiet. Sometimes I’d fall back asleep and wake up with it next to me, which is fine with me. This one makes you turn it off and quick with the louder beeps. None of that is major, just annoying compared to the other brand I’ve tried. Here is the more annoying part- it saves the last reading for you which is nice so you don’t have to turn on the lights to look at it right away (there is no backlight on it which is good, by design). But...when you’re ready to look at the reading, you better be ready! It comes and goes FAST! And then it’s gone, forever. I missed the reading the first two mornings bc it was so quick and you have 4 digits to glance at and comprehend. Now I’m ready so it won’t get me again but geez, could they leave the numbers on display longer than literally one second!? If you power off and on again to try to get it to come back, it’s just 98.6 default.

I really like this thermometer. It's waterproof so I feel comfortable washing it (which is something important to me with thermometers). The display is easy to read, the beep when it's finished detecting your temperature is not too loud. It has a sleek design that isn't uncomfortable while taking your temperature. The only issue I have with it is the memory feature. The idea is that you can take your temperature and look at it again later because it keeps the last temperature. The only problem with that is that if the temperature in the room is low, it'll say LO on the thermometer after flashing the last temperature taken for a very short amount of time. Sometimes it doesn't even reflect the last temp before trying to read the room temp. This isn't helpful when you're using the thermometer first thing in the morning and are hoping to record the temp later in the day. That's a minor inconvenience in my mind, but it can be a deal breaker for some.

It works well, but there’s a few things I don’t like1. Takes a long time to read temp2. No backlight, thought I’d be ok with this but taking the temp at 5 am each day would be a lot easier with a back light.3. Signal for when finished is annoying. Wish it just beeped once instead of continuous until shut off.But, this was cheapest option and it gets the job done.I have had hormone imbalance for many years and recently had an ovary and Fallopian tube removed. I wanted to track and see if I ovulate each month or not with just one ovary. This works for that.

Got this to track my basal temp for tracking my ovulation.

Works great, was using a different thermometer, and was having accuracy issues. I do not have that with this thermometer. I use it to track fertility cycle, and it works great.

I really don't like the loud beeping noise after it's done with your reading and it also beep for a pretty long time. I also don't like it because there are no light on the screen for you to read your result. I have to turn on the lights to read my results and when I do that it wakes up the other person in the room.

I've been using this to track my basal body temperature for over two months. I started to suspect that it wasn't accurate so I took several readings in a row. Each one was very different from the next. So glad I've spent all this time trying to track ovulation with a thermometer that doesn't even work 🙄

Don’t buy this BBT thermometer it is garbage! Upon first receiving this it didn’t turn on. I wiggled the battery and finally got it to turn on. The next few mornings I had nothing but trouble getting this to work. One morning it would work the next morning I had to wiggle the battery this went on for one week until no matter how much I messed with the battery it wouldn’t turn on at all. SO frustrating when your having trouble getting pregnant, you need products that will work not set you back another month! Extremely disappointed Amazon should not be selling this product!
