What is highest temperature reach as measured on the grill plates?

With the hood down the temp maxes out at 644ᵒF. The temp at the same time, on the center plate, is 809ᵒF. The grill will not sustain the same temperatures when content is added to the grill.

Some reviews complained that the legs are shaky and a bit flimsy since they are plastic. I live in a high wind area. Will this be a problem?

I haven't had any problems with mine. My grill seems solid.

has the paint bubbling and melting issue been resolved?

I have the orange hood and have no paint problems.. Bill

So far, so good...

The grill cover fits perfectly. Has velcro straps at each end, but I have not used them yet. We had heavy winds and driving rain yesterday. The grill cover stayed put, even without fastening the velcro straps. The grill cover appears waterproof, so no water in the bottom of my grill. We live in Florida, so I am not sure how long this cover will last with the sun and heat.
