Attracts rats
This actually works and I used this around some traps I had set up. So the rat ventured into the traps.

Expensive, and not very effective
I had rat traps (and a camera) in my loft for about 6 weeks, and had limited success baiting with chocolate spread, raisins, and peanut butter. Rats would constantly sniff around the traps, come within a couple of inches, then back off, and I only caught one rat in all this time. This was the point I bought this product, and put a single application on each trap. The first thing I noticed was how strong the smell is, and the sickly smell filled the entire upstairs of my house. The second thing I noticed is that the rats immediately avoided the area around the traps, taking a wide berth, and weeks later still do so, despite re-baiting without this product.

Did not work on rats
Did not work on rats.Followed the instructions to the letter, absolutely no contact that would have transferred human smell.Watched and actually saw our garden rat make a detour round the baited trap.It did however attract and catch 2 squirrels and one hedgehog, which were successfully released without harm. But was a total failure for rats.

Powerful attractant
Used this product on the traps and boxes from the same company. Caught a mouse in the rat trap within2 minutes of setting . It has a strong caramel smell ,so wear gloves and spray outside. I sprayed several traps in my kitchen and the smell lingered a couple of days even after washing down the tops. I would say it is a good product . Use sparingly. You only need a small amount.

waste of money
no success until I wiped this off of the bait boxes.

not as successful as I hoped
Baited the humane traps and scented them using the spray, but after several days trying to catch rats, only attracted 2 hedgehogs and a squirrel. All released without injury, but didn't solve the rat issue.
