Awesome Tenor Ukulele, Top Shelf Customer Service!
I am brand-new to the ukulele, but not to musical instruments. I wanted something affordable and well-built, and after reading TONS of reviews here and elsewhere, I decided to choose one from Hola!Everything about the instrument and the company has exceeded my expectations. The ukulele is beautiful and it sounds great. Yes, I have to tune it a LOT right now, but that's normal, the strings (from Aquila) are nylon and need to settle in!There aren't any finish flaws, the frets aren't sharp or weird, the neck is straight, the nut and bridge are even, and the tuners are of good quality. This ukulele comes with a nice padded bag that seems to be well-made, plus it comes with a comfortable neck strap and pre-installed strap pegs, which is a super nice bonus. There were a few picks in the package as well.On to customer service. As it turns out, I had to order this uke twice so I got more contact with the company than the average consumer. The first time, I didn't receive it because the package was destroyed en route and the USPS simply shipped it back to the company. I got a nice note from Adam at Hola and he promised to take care of any problems. At that point, there weren't any, so I said thanks and waited for my refund, which arrived promptly.I re-ordered, and 2 days later, I had this fantastic ukulele in my hands. It was packaged well, in two padded boxes with the ukulele wrapped up in padding and tucked inside its bag. I really wonder how USPS managed to destroy the first one - something really heavy must have crushed it or maybe someone ran over it. Anyway, that's neither here nor there since everything turned out fine in the end.Adam contacted me again to make sure that everything was OK and he sent some tips for getting the strings to settle in faster. Also, he invited me to be in touch if I had any concerns at all. That was amazing - I have never been on the receiving end of such great customer service when ordering anything online before, and I have to say that this level of attention is a huge part of the reason why I will always look to see what Hola has when considering a new instrument of any kind.Yes, this is an entry level ukulele. It's nothing fancy. But it's fun to learn on, it sounds just fine to my well-trained ear, and as it cost well under $100, I am not worried about wrecking it by taking it along on fun adventures. Highly, highly recommend this company and their wonderful ukuleles.

SOLD on the HOLA!
I originally purchased this ukulele based on the reviews I read here on Amazon. It ranks amongst the top selling brands sold exclusivley on Amazon. I couldn't find information anywhere else on the internet when it came to entry level ukulele reviews. I was torn between this model and another popular entry level model that cost double (Kala KA-T). After a week of playing this uke I decided I would give it to one of my children and pull the trigger on the more expensive model. In comparison to other tenor ukuleles we own ( Makala and Kohana ), the body was smaller. I know that the classificiation is determined by the fret board length of the ukulele and not the size of the body, however I felt it was smaller than I preferred. Within two days of receiving my Kala KA-T I realized I made a HUGE mistake. I struck a deal with my son to buy him another ukulele and reclaimed this beauty. I also returned the Kala. Aside from the black rubber tuner knobs (which I like) the Hola was constructed as well if not better than the Kala. I am sure Kala makes great ukuleles, however in comparsion to their entry level model I found the Hola a better match for my taste. The finish was smoother than the Kala ( my shirt would snag on the rough finish of the body of the Kala) and the stock strings were brighter sounding. All around the Hola looked, felt, and played better. I found it easier to change chords on the Hola as well. The action is set a little lower requiring less pressure to change chords. If you are looking for a good ukulele at an affordable price look no further.

Great Uke!! Highly recommend!
Hi there, just received my mahogany uke today, My initial impression is that it's very well put together and a great sounding instrument. I'm a hobby luthier and mainly an acoustic and electric guitarist. This tenor uke definitely exceeded my expectations in all aspects, it is definitely worth the price, I'll update this review after a couple weeks to give a better review. Hola ukes are impressive!UPDATE : August 25, 2017Still impressing me day by day, the intonation is dead on and the uke is already opening up on its tone/sound. I have people compliment me quite often on the appearance of the uke so that's a plus. The frets are even and smooth, so are the tuners they hold very well, the neck is straight and super comfortable. I've owned very expensive guitars and very cheap guitars, I've played many different ukes at my local music store but this one is truly above the rest. It's very pleasant, the finish is A+. The construction is A+, even the bracing inside is clean and smooth without excess glue everywhere that most inexpensive instruments have. I definitely would buy another in a heartbeat if this was lost/stolen/"accidently" borrowed/struck by lighting..... Etc..... (picture is the uke I purchased and am reviewing)
