Excellent Instructions for Spiritual Progression
I first heard of ho'oponopono from motivational speaker, Joe Vitale, and found it fascinating. This little book by Paul Jackson takes it to the next level with the specific background needed to substantiate the method and use it more effectively than possible with Vitale's testimonial alone.I find it fascinating that ho'oponopono is not entirely unique. There are numerous methods of deleting old baggage and hangups, but they have interesting similarities. What each technique seems to consistently emphasize is love, being sorry for past mistakes, asking forgiveness, and giving thanks. These emotions represent positive vibes that energize your soul and allow you to get rid of the negativity that can hold you back from joy, success and living your life to the fullest.I find that a combination of the various methods is especially effective. While they all suggest that this attitude change is permanent, I have found this not to be true. It's too easy to slip back into negative programming and thus a refresher now and then is necessary, at least for me. Using the same one over and over can get boring and thus ineffective, so it's always interesting to find a new one that supports previous methods. Other books I've read that are similar include Karol Kuhn Truman's "Feelings Buried Alive Never Die"; "The Emotion Code" by Dr. Bradley Nelson; and "Frequency" by Penney Peirce. I highly recommend them all if you're looking for a self-help attitude adjustment in a positive direction. One thing this book points out with more emphasis than the others is the principle that we're all connected at the spiritual level, i.e. the collective consciousness. When we change ourselves, it ripples out to others. It reminds you that when you point the finger at someone, that there are four fingers pointing back at yourself. It's about taking responsibility for the effect you may have had on others, even those you do not know personally, and rectifying it. It's beautiful in that respect. Love is the one thing that can change the world and you can make a bigger difference than you realize. This little book was an excellent refresher, but could also serve as a great introduction to a simple yet effective method of shifting your personal vibration to a more positive level. We attract what we project, so if your life isn't going in the direction you'd prefer, then it's likely you could benefit from some cleanup. It does have a variety of typos and a few word usage issues (i.e. commiserate instead of commensurate) but over all, the book is highly recommended. In these times when it seems our home planet has gone crazy with us surrounded by hate, dishonesty, corruption, violence and general negativity, this could be the boost you need to maintain a positive outlook and feel as if you can make a difference. This book will convince you that indeed you can.

Awful punctuation issues!
The idea of what the book is about was of great interest to me. I bought this "book" hoping it would explain more deeply what Ho'oponopono was about. So when the book arrived, I eagerly started to read it at my first chance of leisure. I wasn't even past the first page when I noticed a myriad of punctuation issues. Punctuation has a purpose, a very important purpose, at that! Trying to read a sentence devoid of properly placed commas, periods, and semicolons can make the brain do all kinds of hoops trying to decipher the meaning of the sentence. This book is so bad with its punctuation issues, sentence after sentence after sentence, that the meaning of what it is trying to convey tends to get lost. There is no excuse to publish a book like this! If one cannot afford to hire a proofreader, then use one of the programs available that help one with punctuation. The author could have hired someone from the 6th grade who would have at least helped with a lot of the punctuation errors. It is that bad. And very annoying. There are other books available on the subject, and while I have not had the chance to read any of them yet, and so cannot recommend one in particular, I am sure that they will be better than this one. This one is one of the worst cases of punctuation issues I have ever read. Actually, it is THE worst (and I have read a lot of books!). I would suggest to the author to take this book off of the "shelves", have someone proofread it to fix all the errors, then offer it for sale again. The way the book is written is an embarrassment, and I am quite annoyed to have wasted my money on it!

Ho'oponopono Secrets: Four Phrases to Change
I guess I had to wait for this book to be written because I learned about Ho'opponpono years ago and though I never went to any seminars but I studied it and found it helpful but lacking in substance. While I was going through recuperation of a Stroke in 2002 it helped with anger issues but only so far. I had questions that I could not get answered when the opportunity arose. So when this book came to me I sacrificed my budget to aquire it. I waited exactly 24 holurs before previewing it.But got sucked in to reading it and studying it and asking my self questions that were answered on the next page.Thank you,Thank You, ThankYou for explaining the history as well as the development from religious ceremony to daily practice.I used I'm Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank you ,I Love You but was still hesitant to what was happening. The explanation made me feel it throughout my whole body now.Now I want to keep track of my issues as they are released. Again Thank You

I love this book.
I truly love this book. Paul Jackson explains Ho'oponopono with examples that are easy to follow and understand. When I first heard about this Hawaiian healing process, I was a bit confused. I used to "clean" on the person that was upsetting me but when reading this book, I've found out I've been doing it all wrong. I'm supposed to "clean" myself from the inside and not the outside. I am constantly saying the 4 mantras which are: I'm Sorry. Please Forgive Me. Thank you and I love you. I say that all day. It has greatly reduced my depression and I feel a lot happier now. So if you want a book that is short, sweet and to the point, I recommend this book. Thank you Paul Jackson. Peace

Not worth $10, not even close.
Waste of money. $10 for a booklet (not a real book) full of info you could get free online. Waste of money if you have read anything about h'oopono already. Lots of filler.

Great summary and explanation of the Ho'oponopono approach!
I have read a few books now on Ho'oponopono. This one is the best for me. I also ordered Ulrich Dupree's book which is highly rated on Amazon and is quite nice. I found Paul Jackson's approach to be more to my liking and much more perfect in explaining the process and background. I would say to understand and get the process going, this book is all that is necessary.

A must have little gem
This is a 'must have' book for me. Apart from being written in a truly accessible style it gives such clarity and warmth. My children will certainly be getting copies, and h'oponopono fully they will not gather dust, but enjoyed and used. Thank you Paul for a little gem.

This is truly an eye-opener
This opens up your world to better understanding of how to heal and change elements of your reality. Loved it, although someone could have proofread it before it was released for sale.
