DaycraftA6 Signature Gutenberg Times New Roman Notebook - Black

Another surprisingly well done A6 notebook. When I say "well done", I mean that the notebook is:(1) attractive and feels right in your hands;(2) it's a standard A6 size convenient for travel and daily routines, but not too small to present a challenge writing into it;(3) solid binding (not just glue) that allows the notebook to stay flat open and it doesn't fall apart; and(4) most importantly (for me) is that it's fountain pen/ink friendly and to a large extent beats more expensive competition in this department (tested it with several fountain pens and "dry" and "wet" nibs, including a stub nib too and the paper performs well not showing any bleeds or any significant feathering with Pelikan, Kobe/Sailor, Waterman, Montblanc, and Parker inks that I tested it with).Overall, a nice quality surprise.

In the past I have used cheap notebooks for class and journaling, and I always have the thought of saving my notebooks for later reference. So I try that, but after awhile I end up just throwing them out because they are tore up and look like clutter and not something worth saving. However, these Daycraft notebooksare of great quality; they seem to be able withstand some love in the form of wear and tear. They also look beautiful and the pages are nice and sturdy. I intend to use these not just for class but for personal journaling now and in the future. They're notebooks worth using and ultimately keeping.

The artificial leather cover has a nice feel to it. Love the embossed Helvetica design. Pages have a good weight and the notebook opens almost flat for ease of writing. Overall, the notebook has a quality feel to it!I would love to see this same notebook offered with dots for guides, although the lines are faint enough that they don't really bother me.

Much smaller than I realized, I should have reviewed the measurements better. I then discovered it would cost $6.01 to return it. Lesson learned to double check the size and the return criteria.

Pretty small but it's a sharp looking notebook. It's nice that it has a page finder ribbon too.
