New Balance Men's 608 V5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer

Bought these for my husband to replace his every day "garage" NB tennies that he had for who knows how long. Price was great, sizing on point and fit as expected and after wearing a week he says they are super comfortable. He is not one for buying his shoes online (I am) so he was pleasantly surprised at getting the same shoe he would have gotten at a shoe store (trying to bring him into the 21st century).

I bought these sneakers for my brother, and this review is based on his feedback and my own inspection of the shoes when they arrived.According to him, they are very comfortable for everyday wear and walking. The cushioning feels soft but supportive, and the shoes provide good stability, especially in the heel and midfoot area. He says they feel supportive and secure on the foot, not flimsy or unstable. The fit is true to size and should work well for normal to slightly wider feet.The product description states that the upper is 100% leather, so I took close-up photos to show the material and the stitching. The leather looks genuine and feels solid, not thin or cheap. The stitching is clean, even, and consistent, which usually means better durability over time. You can also see the overall shape, finish, and details in the photos I uploaded.I also added a video showing how the shoes arrived and how they were packaged, so buyers can see the condition out of the box and the presentation.So far, everything looks and feels very good. If any issues appear with wear over time, I will update this review. If you don’t see an update from me later, it means the shoes are holding up well. For now, I’m giving these 5 stars because they deserve it based on comfort, materials, build quality, and first impressions.Update after 4 months of use:One thing worth mentioning is that my brother recently thanked me for buying these shoes. He normally doesn’t comment on footwear, so that stood out to me.After about four months of regular wear, they are still holding up very well. The leather still looks good, the shoes have kept their shape, and the color has remained consistent. There are no loose seams, no unusual wear, and no signs of the shoes breaking down.Most importantly, he still enjoys wearing them to work and continues to find them comfortable for everyday use. Based on how they’ve performed over the past four months, I feel even better about my original 5-star rating.

608s are a long running model that I find to be dependable, sturdy shoes. The tricky thing about this particular listing is that the extended wide widths aren't listed with "E" as they are on the box. I know I need a 4E. I ordered the incorrect width the first time, so I reordered and got the correct one the second time. Here's the breakdown:X-Wide = 4EXX-Wide = 6EAside from that, I'm as pleased as always with the shoes. These New Balances don't have the fresh foam sole. They are not lightweight shoes, but I'm sure that's what keeps me feeling steady on my feet and prevents pronation. I get foot and back fatigue easily when walking because of my weight and foot structure. I alternate between these and a pair of different brand shoes that have more cushioning but are less sturdy. That helps me to go longer and relieves pressure point pain.

Stands up to heavy and abuse use for about one year (20,000 steps a day, squatting/rising on toes, kicking cinderblocks). Comfortable for 8+ hours walking on concrete, medium weight, good traction on all surfaces. Most of the shoe repels water (the tongue does not).The one downside is when it decides to die, it goes all at once. The sole seperates from the shoe and the tread sperates from the sole, all within a couple of weeks.

Great fit, comfortable right out of the box. Definitely recommend. Nice looking too!

I wear a size 16 Wide, and finding shoes that fit well is not always easy. That's one reason this model stood out to me.I bought these in July 2022 and wore them regularly until they finally wore out about two years later. Throughout that time, they provided a good combination of comfort, support, durability, and fit. For me, that's a hard combination to find in a shoe.The fit worked well for my wide feet, and they were comfortable enough for everyday wear. They also held up well considering how much use they received over those two years.The biggest compliment I can give them is that when it was time to replace them, I bought the same model again. I wouldn't have done that if they hadn't worked well for me.If you have larger or wider feet and are looking for a comfortable, dependable everyday shoe, these are worth considering based on my experience.

The New Balance 608 is my go-to for a durable, everyday shoe. The V5 features the ABZORB cushioning that really makes a difference if you’re on your feet all day. They provide excellent arch support and lateral stability, whether you're working in the garage or out for a walk. The leather upper is easy to wipe clean and holds its shape much better than mesh alternatives. It’s a reliable, comfortable, and classic shoe that just lasts. I wear bilateral AFO's and the braces actually fit well in these shoes.

My low cost "go to" shoe. I'm an active tennis player, 2 to 3 times a week and these shoes are light, comfortable, and wear well. I usually get 6 or 7 months out of them.

Shoes looks as advertised and fits well for a 4E widthWas excited for them to come in but noticed multiple splotches/stains on the white sole and slight discolouration on the suede.

Great shoe , looks great in gray , comfortable.If you dont need a wide shoe , dont order wide as another reviewer suggested . They are adequately wide in a regular size. Plenty of room in the toe box. I ordered a wide and had to return and re order a regular width .

I like this one a lot. Later ordered different colors
