Not sure about the Indominous Rex, but these went well with the T-Rex that has the same features. Im confident these will work

Do this work for a cake toopper??

You could probably stick these on a cake without incident. The two-legged dinosaurs have a tendency to fall over, though, so they might topple over and mess up the frosting if you're not careful.
