Looked it up on MonkeyWrenchRacing site, it's 180 degrees. Used this in my 2005 Corolla XRS.

When this thermostat fails does it stay open or closed

Either one. It can stick open or closed or even halfway. Genuine Toyota coolant is good for 100,000 miles. So best practice is to change it when you change the coolant.

Is this compatible with a 2007 Toyota Solara (4 cylinder)?

Cannot confirm for you. I purchased it for a 6cylinder Solara 2005.
