From the Author Our world is made up of so many beautiful people from different backgrounds, different upbringings, and different dynamics. However, all too often, when reading my children stories I would notice that these differences are not shown and there is a need for more diversity children's books that portray different family dynamics, LBGTQ families, single parent families, and grandparents. As a mother, I try very hard to make sure my children are exposed to people and places different than themselves as I truly believe that this story is a snapshot of an average neighborhood with all its wonderful different families and dynamics.
