Grows quickly, great for hummingbirds and bees!
We had these seeds in a mixed seat package that we had planted in the spring. I've never seen so many bees and hummingbirds in our garden after having these flowers. They took about four weeks to get to flower and once they did, bees and hummingbirds for 14 hours a day everyday.I bought these seeds for next year but in the meantime I planted quite a few around our place July 30th.I already have Aiden's plants which means they should flour in about 2 weeks. Not bad for the Oregon coast, our summers are rather cool. They're part of the tansey family, I just know they're great for our pollinators and bees.

It's the bee's knees
Pollinators love this plant. I planted it for my honeybees, but it seems more popular with the native bees, and that's fine by me. Sometimes a hummingbird will visit them. I bought a packet of these a couple years ago and the seeds were still viable this year. Boy were they viable. Also they self seed. I've got these growing everywhere.

Beautiful flowers and the bees love them.
I keep bees and heard that they love Phacelia. I did a mass planting of these seeds this Spring and it's true! Great germination of the seed in moist soil. Planted the last week of April (Oregon, zone 7) and they started blooming the second week of June. Not only do my honeybees seem to love them but the phacelia are also attracting bumblebees and other native bees. They look great. I'm eager to see how long the bloom season lasts. I'll be ordering more of these seeds for next year. (Note: the planting in the photo is about 1/2 pound of seed.)

Make sure you plant in a partial sun or full sun area!
Planted entire bag. Shaded area had zero flowers sprout, so lost over half the seeds to that. Sunny area had quite a few tiny sprouts- it took about 4 weeks for it to sprout. No flowers yet but I planted in July so we’ll see if it was too late.
