Not so strong (It was a defective item, but it all worked out.)
I have a monitor which is less than 13 pounds. This arm struggles to hold it in place. I have tightened as much as I can. Not real happy with this. Hey...you get what you pay for.***UPDATE***The company has made GREAT effort to resolve this problem. It ended in my return of the defective product. The screw which holds the monitor in place was stripped out. But because the company went to such extraordinary effort to solve the problem, I ordered the more expensive model as a replacement. When customers see good effort, it should be rewarded. Sometimes products are defective. That is life. But rarely, today, are there good companies that care. This is one company you should not hesitate to buy from and I'm certain the product will work as advertised. Well done E-TEK. The Five Star is awarded because I believe the product would have been fine except for the one defect. Give it a chance.

A TOTAL DUD. The Arm Is Inoperable. Clearly manufactured poorly.
I was really excited to get this product. I needed it. I shopped for the best one I could find, and reading other reviews, thought this was perfect. It was not.It came well packed but with the WORST instructions I've ever seen (seriously. these instructions make Ikea instructions look great). There is no written description of how the pieces go together or in what order. It took us an hour to put the basics together, but then it just got worse. The arm is supposed to be easy to raise and lower, push forward and back. The top arm at the hinge wouldn't bend at all. We read other reviews and the one tiny comment from the manufacturer that said to turn the tension screw counter clockwise to tighten (btw, the screw you have to tighten is also a pain. they should have a knob). Other reviewers mentioned their monitor would not hold up under it's weight and would sag and they'd have to tighten the tension screw daily; we had the opposite problem. There are two marks on either side of the tension screw. one "+" and one "-". We had no idea which one would loosen it up so it could bend. We read to tighten go counter-clockwise, so we went clockwise...all the way. it took an hour. That didn't work, so we turned it counter clockwise...all the way. that took an hour. We could see the mechanism move on the inside of the arm, but the joint where the bend should happen did not. It looked a little bit off center or crushed together on one side. Finally, we decided there was a manufacturing error and that piece was fused together. I think the manufacturer got so many comments that the tension was loose that they went too far the other direction, to the point the arm is completely un-bendable. The result for me was that the arm was un-usable. The only height I could have was 3 feet too high. It was disappointing and a total waste of an evening.I wrote the manufacturer through the question section on Amazon, but got n response. They have no sales support, no phone number and no online presence.Total fail. This is January 2020 and the manufacturing of this product is flawed. I do not recommend it.
