Nice For Awning Shade but "Not For Privacy Screen".
Very fast shipping. I received the Shade Screen and it had factory defects. The Screen was sold and shipped from RVTravelMats so I emailed RVTravelMats and they immediatly emailed me back that they were sending me another screen. They sent it out within an hour and I received it sooner than expected. The replacement was in perfect condition with no imperfections. Hats off to RVTravelMats for rectifying the manufacturers defective product. The screen provides a cool shade. Works nicely for that. It advertised that it worked well for privacy but, if you want privacy you might not get the privacy you expect. You can see right through it looking out and looking in. Probably a lighter color would be better for privacy. If you don't need the tie down stakes and ties etc, you can find the same screen, only the screen, and save about $[...] at [...].If the screen was not advertised as, "you can see out but others can`t see in!", I would have rated it higher.

Essential for sun block.
Overall it is a great product. I am in Nevada so blocking extreme sun and heat is essential. The only disadvantage is the heavy winds that rattle the awning so I took mine down the first evening.

Fantastic shade!
This fits my 20' awning perfectly. It has gone through 6 thunderstorms with winds gusting to 20+ mph and is still like new. I did put support poles on the ends of the awning reel because it weights a bit, and I wanted a more solid installation to stop any bouncing of the reel in some of the storm winds we get in northern Florida in the spring and fall. My awning is a powered awning, and this came with the correct sliders for the reel to mount it. Only problem is, it doesn't come with enough of them to hang every available grommet, so I purchased another pack of hangers.

Where are the instructions?
Had the first chance to use it this weekend and it worked great. Very heavy fabric and lots of metal eyelets. It ain't nothing flimsy. A sheet of instructions/suggestions would have been nice. After we put it up we found that it worked better after we shallowed the angle and used 3 foot ropes on the corners instead of straight down with the 6 inch bungee cords supplied. One thing I never thought about was as it shielded the glare from the sun it also stops any breeze you might have. The canopy it's self in from one supplier and the rest of the parts, and they are plenty, are different products from different manufacturers. In the middle of the summer the heat might be a show stopper but for watching football outside its great. And BTW the price and shipping couldn't be beat. I turned several RVers onto this product this weekend.

Satisfied with purchase
We needed a shade while camping in Florida and chose the model because it was reasonable priced. It took a while to figure out how to set it up, mostly because there weren’t really enough S hook party light holders that attach the shade to the awning. There were only seven for a 20 foot shade. I had to order more. The shade really performed well after we got it secured and we’re satisfied with our purchase.

Helps with the sun
There are more expensive ones, ones that have a shinny surface on one side to reflect the sun, keep people from looking through, etc.. This one works well, you still can see through, sun is reflected to give shade and the price was ok. I used it once for a 5 day period.con: I believe it should have more garments on each of the 16' side. With the garments it has the awning sages, the garments are spaced too far apart, the wind can whip it around. Also there seems to be double and/or triple sewing in different areas (middle) of the shade as if the shade material was over lapped and/or sewn over and over again leaving these long dark threaded areas. Something I would think a company would NOT want as ADVERTISEMENT for them. A mistake is a mistake.Good Luck

Sun Shade falls short
The RV Awning Shade kit did not come with instructions, yeah I am one of those guys that actually does read them. Now it isn't rocket science how the shade is supposed to attach to the awning but when you have 17 eyelets on the shade and 7 hooks supplied you have to wonder if you are missing something. According to the box cover 7 is all you get. The lack of hooks creates two problems. First the screen sags in spots from lack of support, tends to bunch together. Second, the screen mesh started tearing at one of the eyelets after a day with very little to no wind.I suspect enough hooks for all of the eyelets would make this shade usable and reduce the strain on the eyelets. If you are going to be in one spot for a long time it might work for you but this type of shade will not roll up with the awning as some other types do. If you move your campsite, you have to slide all of the hooks off of the awing and pack it up.Customer service was great and processed a refund promptly.

The design of the product
We just received our new awning shade and have not used it yet, every other rv in this park the awning shade is installed with a cord and pull strap. This product has grommets all around and uses awning hooks to hang the screen to the awning roller, wondering why seems like every grommet is a stress point. I am hoping someone can tell me the reason for this if it is not a better idea it may be shipped back before I use it.
