It is actually really rare to find a wooden fake book of this quality. Before I saw this I had already ordered a custom made wooden keepsake fake book like this for $200. It hasn't arrived yet. Sure it will be fine but this one I think is likely better than the full custom item I ordered and half the price. Velvet on the inside. Great finish. Quality hardware. So many of these books like this are not big enough to hold normal notebook sized paper. This one handles it with room to spare. Going to buy a second one.

This box is truly beautiful. My sister has had one of these for years. It is in her foyer on her hall tree. She uses it for her daily mail. When we moved and downsized, I wanted one for the same reason. I have been looking for a box like this for two years. I finally put in the correct search items and found it on Amazon. We do not have any local Bombay Stores and I could not find it on their web site. Some times items can have a bad smell. This one has no smell. I ordered it using Amazon Prime. It was wrapped very carefully and arrived in great condition with no problems. The inside has a black velvet kind of material. You can open the top and it stays open. The box is large enough for mail and magazines. You can put it in any room beacause of its quality. I am both grateful and happy for this purchase.!!!!!

I purchased this memory box for a 50th wedding anniversary gift. I put the couple’s wedding invitation and a few photos in the box . I made a beautiful and affordable gift.

I was a little leery to order this due to some of the reviews. I received it and was very impressed. We used it as part of a retirement gift - we put all the cards we received for the retiree in it and had our company logo engraved on the plate. It was an amazing gift.

It was a very nice, old fashioned wooden memory box. It has a very good feel and stain, it reminded me of the one I bought from the Bombay company 20+ years ago. The metal plate comes separate with the box so its easy to get it engraved. The only problem I had was one of the small phillips screws that come with it to attach the metal plate to the box was defective. Other than that, it was a great purchase.

This was a beautiful box! I ordered it to house our chereshed family Bible. The dimensions were incorrect and would not fit my Bible.

everything went as planned....beautiful memory box of perfect size (imo)... engraveable brass plate tops it off .. this is a great gift for anyone (imo)....this box is similar to "the bombay company" memory boxes i had previously bought from the chain "things remembered".... they don't carry something of this size anymore (in my experiences over the past couple of years), so i was glad to find a replacement box of equivalent beauty....

The newlyweds were very happy with the gift. I felt good given them the gift. I had it engraved with their names and date of their wedding.

I was pleasantly surprised with this memory/treasure box. It has a nice dark wood finish and is built really well. It has a velvet liner to protect your treasures. and a brass plate for engraving to place on the top side.I like the way that it came packaged so no dents or scuffs bouncing around in a box. Well done!

Bought this as a wedding gift. They love it!!! Very good construction. I'll buy another if I ever have to go to another wedding.
