I just got this item as a replacement for another unit. This one is MUCH better than the Aduro U-GRIP SLIDE I had before. The magnet is fantastic. It really holds the phone well!I have a Galaxy Note 4 which is encased in a fairly thin OtterBox case. If I try to mount the phone in a horizontal position the swivel joint on the Teslan is not tight enough to keep the phone from tilting down, even with the rear knob tightened as tight as it can get. The ONLY way I can use this is without it tilting is with the phone in the vertical position with the bottom of the phone resting on the dashboard. I have the magnet on the outside of the case.So, again, another highly rated product that can't seem to take the weight of the phone/case. :-(I'm sure that with a smaller phone such as iPhone, this would be absolutely perfect, but not so for a heavier phone like the Note 4.

First of all, this looks like a Tesla car rip off... I honestly thought the car company Tesla released a mount... hahaThe name looks similar, with just an added 'N' letter at the end, but the logo looks similar too... I mean, it's not a bad thing... maybe that's why it feels like a quality product. I knew immediately from the packaging, that it was going to be a good mount; it's in real English... I've bought other mounts where it's generic packaging design/clearly from China.I've been searching for a strong magnet - as well as being aesthetically pleasing - and this mount was the only one that I could find that qualified both categories. I like the red ring, Teslan name/logo looks nice. I hate other magnetic mounts where it has an ugly large white font of some generic company name on it... it just looks so ugly.The magnetic part is large and very strong! I'm using it to mount my 10.5" Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablet on it. I've been replacing all my "clamp" style mounts to all magnetic because it's just so much more convenient and looks way nicer without frame/borders holding it in place! (of course there is a trade-off of sticking the opposite magnetic end on your devices)I liked this mount so much, I've actually purchased two.

Great product it holds very well, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and it's inside my Jeep Wrangler stuck right on the center of dash it has not fallen off the magnet even when I decided to go off the road. It's easy to remove, easy to put up. My wife loves it cause she can change songs on the phone on the fly without having to reach to dash while I'm driving, and put the phone back up when she's done with minimal hassle. A great buy and very good companyUpdate: 6 months, 3 stars off, why? well the plastic at the round swivel joint snapped while I was driving launching my phone to the ground, I had that heart in throat feeling of whether my screen had just cracked because it landed hard. The magnet was still attached so good magnet, haha. The phone was okay but this is the first Phone Cradle I ever had crack on me, I've had three different claw type ones before this model. I loved the magnet idea and the ease but the fact that it snapped like that and launched my phone is a possible expense fault in the product. I live in New Jersey, so North Eastern USA weather and had this item from May 2015 to November 2015, it sat on my dash and I keep my Jeep interior clean with soap and water no other solvents. I just think the tiny stem that connects the swivel plastic ball to the magnet housing is very frail especially when it's tasked to hold $300-$600 piece of equipment. Sorry I would love to give it back those 3 stars I was a true fan for awhile.

This is the best little gadget you can own for your car! I have this little beauty on my dashboard on the left side of my steering wheel so it's a little out of the way as my phone is a Samsung Note 3 which is a large enough phone to be a little distracting if it was in the middle of my dash. It's super easy to install...find a spot, clean it, take off the sticker from the bottom of the mount and put it where you want it. It holds my Note 3 with no problem. It came with two magnets which I did use both since my phone is bigger than normal and it holds perfectly. I've had this for about a week now and wished I would of bought one a lot sooner. I used to throw my phone on my passenger seat and it was always hard to grab or it would fall on the floor board. This gadget holds the phone in place with no problems at all. I LOVE it!

This thing is great! It came with magnetic pieces you could stick to the back of your phone, so your phone will stick. I put one on the back of my old phone, put the phone back in it's case, and it stuck, even through the case. I was too lazy to remove it from my old phone and put it on my new phone, so I just tried to put my new phone straight onto the holder, and that worked, too. It's might not be great for the phone, so your mileage may vary, but it works for me. The only thing to remember is that, because this is magnetic, your phone CAN be knocked free of the holder. This has never happened because of a bump in the road, but I have knocked it off a few times, and its always been because of my own stupidity.
