These items, (a two-pack of headphone adaptors), curiously have five-star reviews, which are for OTHER items, and are unconnectedAn IPhone 8 in the UK does not recognise them. The sound continues to come from the external speaker, whilst they are plugged in. The product is clearly incompatible,The headphone adaptors are very durably made. But there is clearly some compatibly issue not mentioned in the product description.

Both of these headphone adaptors worked on an iPhone X, an iPhone 8 and a iPhone 7+. I also tried them on an iPhone SE and compared the sound quality of them compared to using the headphone jack socket. The sound quality was excellent and was indistinguishable from the headphone socket. However, they only work as headphones. They do not work on calls, so on Apple headsets that have a volume/ microphone, music was fine but calls do not interrupt the music and the volume control doesn’t work. Not a problem for me as I only want to be able to listen to music but my wife was disappointed as she wanted to be able to make calls whilst out walking, so only 3 stars.

There is a horrible static like sound whenever you’re watching vids or music/sounds. You MAY be able to drown it out when the volume is a lot higher but it’s unbearable.DO NOT PURCHASE SAVE YOUR EARS JUST PURCHASE THE REAL THING FROM APPLE!Wish I did instead of trying to save money buying this product for myself and someone else.

look elsewhere for your iPhone headphones adapter, these are junk. Terrible sound quality. These are already in the bin after one day. Just like the last two adapters I purchased from Amazon.

Ordered these on the back of so many positive reviews, they arrived today and I should have trusted my instincts. They don’t always work and require you to wiggle the connector for them to connect and there is ALWAYS a hum in the background when the audio is playing and the headphone controls do not work.They are cheap but I would recommend spending the extra for a certified product.

Paid for 2 lightening to headphone jack adaptors. Got one. Disproportionate waste of time and cost to return.
