Not easy for drawing picture process
It’s would be more easy with step by step picture, I should read other review before I bought it.

Good book
This book has some very good ideas. A lot of the projects I've seen in Meenakshi Mukerji's other books. They are beautiful projects, but this book is not as high a quality as the other books. The instructions are easy to read but not too many photos, or just black & white photos - color makes a world of difference. This author has some very good ideas, if you have all of the other books by this author, then you don't necessarily need to buy this one. Although, this is a very good buy for the price.

Easy to follow designs
I think this book is good for people just beginning oragami and people who are more knowledgeable about it. The designs are cute and the steps are easy to follow. That being said the book itself is kind of a disaster it does not look like it went through any official editing process and I don't think I would give this book as a gift because of that, but I bought it for myself and it was perfect for that.

Modular origami
Some of these pieces turn out to be surprisingly large and not easily reduced due to math format, and author assumptions.Like many experts it is difficult getting from A to J sometimes. Interval steps occasionally go unaddressed in my opinion. This book could use higher color differentiation and information about size of completed pieces. I absolutely would buy it again because it is fun, and recommend it. If I were a better folder, I perhaps would find this perfectly lucid. Any fan of modular would appreciate this.

Not for beginning Origami enthusiast!
I liked this book. It's not one I would recommend to a beginner. The modular designs are nice. Slot if repetition and patience is a real requirement. It's enjoyable.

Beautiful Models!
This is full of beautiful models with excellent diagrams. It includes models created by Meenakshi Mukerji (one inspired by Dennis Walker), Maria Sinayskaya, and Ekaterina Lukasheva - all talented origami designers. I have made Daffodil, Star Flower, and Vortex Dodecahedron (this one was one of the easiest modulars to assemble that I've ever done) so far and they all turned out wonderfully. You can view all of the models via the "Search Inside" function: all models are pictured on the front and back covers. I highly recommend this book - as well as all of Ms. Mukerji's other books!

Difficult!
Very cool book. Reasonably clear diagrams. Both the folding and the assembly of these models are very complicated and time consuming. A typical model requires 30 or so pieces of paper with advanced folding techniques and then an even more difficult assembly of the pieces. The results are spectacular, though. Just make sure you have plenty of good paper In multiple colors.

This should be a 5 star were it not for the dismal quality of the edition
I own all four books by Ms Mukerji and I am very pleased with them.It is refeshing to see some designs different to the "classic" Japanese ones. This book in particular left me a bit unhappy because of the format. The previous books from 2009 and 2010) come in vibrant colours and the quality of the printed paper is glossy and rich. This one, however, comes in the cheap black and white, recycled-paper feel of so many sub-standard origami books you see nowadays.I appreciate this is very likely the fault of the editors.I class the work of Ms Mukerji at the same high level as Fuse Tomoko (the "goddess" of Japanese origami). But the quality of this book degrades it.I hope that in the future the author will take more pride in her own standing and demand a better edition from the editors.I'll finish on a positive note, which is that the kusudamas described in the book are very original and fresh.

a Glossy Cover, on an otherwise cheaply produced product.
The book has some lovely looking pieces within it to create. The black and white 2D instructions, to create something 3D are not however helpful and often result in resorting to youtube to fill in the gaps. 3D Drawings of each module and the assembly would have made this review very different.I have also found some of these processes cumbersom/wasteful of paper, where other versions creating the same kusadamas have been sturdier and easier to assemble just from their alternative modularisation.I had high expectations of this book.. they were not met.

Highly recommended
I've done little bits of Origami in the past and when I first picked this book up I thought I'd swung too far out of my league. However, if you take the time to read all of the introduction and read and re-read the instructions for each piece, it becomes very easy. You can make some really fantastic and beautiful pieces the likes of which are not readily available online. This makes this book worth every penny. This is an example of the second piece I did. Took me around 4-5 hours total:

Modular origami
I bought this as a gift for my daughter. Seeing the colourful pictures on the front, I assumed that the illustrations inside would also be as good. But all of the diagrams are in black and white and it is often difficult to see which instructions belong to which design without first flipping the page to go to the final diagram. But, she has made some of the designs and they have turned out well.

Exquisite Modular Origami
Perhaps this book is best for those with previous experience of modular folding.Nonetheless, I have folded a couple of beautiful globes, which have astonished my friends!. The book would have been easier to follow if some colour photos had shown at the begining or end of each pattern, rather than having to refer to the front and back cover. I would recommend this book to any Origami lover.Happy folding.
