My daughter has two of these in her house so we decided to have one in our house for our grandchildren's sleepovers. It is great - very indiscreet and does not get in the way. Very easy to use but sturdy at the top of our stairs.

Gate looks good and covers a good amount of space, but the instructions could do with a little reduction as there was a lot on there but little info and the gate its self is a little difficult to open when you have a little one in your arms

I have seen a few reviews saying this can't be operated with one hand but it definitely can. What may not be obvious at first is that you don't need to hold the button down when extending the gate; you push down, turn and release the button, and the gate can be extended once before it locks. You will get used to how far you need to pull it out to fit it into the brackets, I usually pull it an extra 10cm. At first I thought you needed to hold the button down and extend it with your other hand but you don't. It also makes a clicking noise when it retracts as a safety feature, so that if your child manages to open it you should be able to hear it.It looks very clean and nice when across or retracted. It is slim-line, so it isn't in your way at all when retracted, which was what I like about this over swing gates.For installation, the tolerances are very tight, even with the provided templates, so you do have to be careful and definitely measure twice, drill once. If you are installing this within the doorframe (which we have done for our balcony door) be sure to check where the door handle is and that it can close with the brackets in place. We had to move ours to the outer edge of the frame after the first try because we couldn't shut the door.

I paid over £50 for the gate itself for it to arrive and find out I needed skirting board spacers costing a further £17!It’s difficult to put up and very fiddly. I fitted it with the relevant plugs and screws and it’s been pulled out of the wall twice.The product itself is a fantastic idea, however the cost is just way too high especially given I needed to purchase items separately. I’ve spent over £70 on this gate and had to refit it 3 times now given it isn’t stable when drilled into a concrete wall.

Just the job! Bought gate of this type as daughter has one and it suited the top of my stairs better than solid gate type.Having read some of the reviews, I read the assembly instructions through before starting to fix. It was then very easy to fix using the templates to correctly locate. I found the instructions straight forward.I am using the gate to keep my large dog either upstairs or downstairs depending on where my granddaughter is. Started the dog training and she is not bothered by the gate at all.Fairly easy to operate (I have arthritis in my hands).I like the way that there are 2 sets of brackets so can relocate the gate easily. Due to the type of material, it does not stand out too much at the top of the stairs when it is closed.I would recommend this retractable gate to anyone.

Easy to install, looks good, but terrible to use. Bought for the dog, thank goodness not for the child. Have to use two hands to unlock and pull the gate into position. Got pretty good at doing things one handed when had the child, would not have managed this. Have to use 2 hands to use. Looks good but too hard to use. Wish I hadn’t bothered.

Point 1: This is so hard to fit because you need an adapter that's sold separately if you intend on fitting it in a normal standard home because of the side boards other wise it does not retract properly this means that it gives more way at the top looking loosely fitted and unsafe if used on steps and retraction problems resulting in item braking eventually..Point 2: the gate is so much more bigger than a normal size meaning it's really tall in height so if you have a window at the top of your steps like a lot of homes your going to find yourself in a pickle.Point 3:- 100 % would not recomend this to someone who has a newborn toddler the carrying around age as you need two hands to unlock unless your a magician it's not happening.Point4:- yes it is revolutionary and doesnt stick out like a sore thumb and doesnt swing out but if you want to save yourself a pricey lesson only get this if you intend on putting it in doorways! I overall think it's a great product just not practical everywere and for everyone like a standard baby gate is.

The product is fairly easy to install and comes with templates you can apply to the wall/frame to work out where your screw holes need to be. It would have been good however if the advert had indicated that if you are thinking of putting it where there is a skirting board for example that makes the difference in width for the fixings, then you will need to also order an adapter, which I had to purchase from another supplier as these guys didn't have one.Also, when retracting the mesh back into the system, it can wrap and fold in on itself, not a major problem but looks like ti could damage the mesh over time.The button mechanism that releases the mesh also seems to be a little flimsy, we've had the gate on our stairs for several weeks now and you can feel the looseness within the mechanism, feels like a waiting game before it falls off. I guess we'll see.As a gate, it works really well and as it's soft, our young son hasn't banged his head on it like he used to do with old wooden gate. So that's a plus!!!

Also ich habe das Gitter als Abtrennung für meine Hunde, Chihuahuas, bestellt. Die Montage ist naja xD also das könnte man einfacher gestalten, aber ich habs nach ca 1 Stunde dann auch geschafft.Ansonsten ist das Teil echt super!1 Stern Abzug, Aufgrung der sehr verwirrenden Montageanleitung.

Die 1 Sterne Bewertung hier ist nicht nachzuvollziehen, weil sie einfach nicht stimmt, das finde ich ziemlich unfair! Nur weil jemand nicht mitdenken kann...Es ist eine einhandbedienung! Man muss den Knopf an der Seite drücken und drehen, kann dann los lassen und dann die Tür ziehen, funktioniert einwandfrei. Beim einrollen genau das gleiche, Knopf drücken und drehen, loslassen und dann die Tür einrollen lassen, diese rollt sich gut automatisch und schnell ein, haben sie jetzt seit ca einer Woche im Benutzung.Das anbauen war auch total easy und selbsterklärend es gibt sogar Schablonen für die Bohrlöcher und für die Wände die doppelte Anzahl an Halterungen, damit man sie auch woanders anbringen kann... Macht auch einen stabilen Eindruck, wenn sich was ändern sollte, ergänze ich das. Der erste Eindruck und Anbau ist super...

Perfecto. Parece tener una calidad aceptable, la tela parece resistente, además viene con otro juego de soportes para ponerlos en otro lado por si en algún momento se quiere rehubicar la valla. Adjunto unas fotos de los enganches y del bloqueo ya que heche en falta esas fotos a la hora de pedirla yo. Sirve tanto para ponerla que abra a la izquierda como a la derecha, por afuera de la pared o por dentro, como cada uno lo necesite.
