This hat appears to be pretty high quality. The hat has even stitching, crisp button closure, thick fabric all the way around, and small metal grates in the vent holes near the buttons. I opted for the small/medium size and it fits comfortably snug. I don't know what my head measurements are, but I generally consider myself to have an average sized head. The strap is also thick and soft, not thin and scratchy like I expected it to be. The largest and only drawback of this hat is that it is absolutely NOT 100% Cotton. As of the time of writing, the name of this product is "100% Cotton Boonie Fishing Bucket Men Safari Summer String Hat Cap" I bought this hat specifically because it WAS supposed to be entirely cotton. I purchased this from the seller "DealStock". It's a decent quality hat to be sure, but I'm very angry that the seller of this item has blatantly advertised the hat to be made from material that it is not. Please check my attached pictures to see the label of the hat, which clearly states "65% cotton 35% polyester". Again, *this is a well made hat*, but the seller has explicitly lied about it's materials, which is unacceptable.

This hat has lasted me for over 5 years, I work in Saudi Arabia and I'm always in the hot sun, this hat is faded almost white but still in good shape. I only replaced this hat due to the wife complaining on it's looks, I only hand wash my hats. This hat is very durable and I hatted to replace it, so I ordered the same exact one. Now I just need to break it in. It's a little hot at times but its a great hat. I sure if you buy this hat you will be 100 percent satisfied.

To cut to the chase, I originally thought this hat would make a nice addition to an outfit— a statement piece, if you will. This is not the case. You can immediately tell it is an outdoor hat, so DO NOT buy it for fashion. Not to say it doesn’t look nice. It just isn’t a trendy bucket hat you would wear to the mall.That being said, the hat is a very nice quality and fits as expected (I got a S/M). It is not very soft despite being 100% cotton. The floppy rim holds its shape surprisingly well. The cord clasp is sturdy and when you adjust it, it stays. The buttons allow you to pin up the sides of the hat. When pinned up it looks like a cowboy hat.I am quite satisfied with my purchase and I believe it will make a wonderful hiking, gardening, and fishing hat. I got mine on a gift card discount but I would buy it again for the full price.

I don't know why I haven't owned one of these for my whole life. It's awesome.I was apprehensive about how it might look, at first, envisioning Bill Murray in Caddy shack, and not sure I could pull it off. And it does look a little ridiculous, depending largely on how it's worn.But I don't care how it looks.It's so versatile and useful and comfortable!I wear it doing maintenance on the golf course, and it keeps the bugs off my head, keeps the sun out of my eyes, keeps the rain off my head, protects my head from branches when I'm on the mower, and keeps me from getting sunburn on the back of my neck.I really couldn't have asked for a more useful piece of clothing.Bill Murray really did know what he was doing in that movie.

This hats are not made by the same company and vary greatly in quality. I first ordered a navy blue hat and really liked the fit. I then ordered two of the 'natural' color hats and returned them as they were not at all like the navy blue hat in fit and quality. I then decided to try the gray colored hat and it too was made from by a different company than the navy blue hat and does not have the same fit. The brim on the navy hat is firm and does not flop down over your eyes. The other hats are flimsy and the brim flops down and is annoying.

good wide brim to protect the ears and my bald head. Good in the current heat. The color is perfect, and the material is heavy duty good stuff. Fit was good and as expected. Much better quality than what's available at wal mart or other retailers. Well made. Dollars well spent. Very high quality for the money, the fabric is high quality and durable. Not so fashionable, but who cares. Function wise, I have found no better. The cheap one I bought at Wal mart ripped to pieces after two washings and was cheap fabric. This thing is built like a brick sh%$thouse. It dries easily and keeps even my cheeks from getting sunburn in the dreaded Indiana heat and sun.

Great photographer's hat! It's easy to flip up the front brim to stay out of the way of a camera held up to my face, and even if I forget to flip it up the hat->camera collision is very gentle. The brim is just wide enough so that I can slide the hat backwards and adequately protect the back of my neck from direct sunlight coming from behind. And it crumples up nicely to fit in my camera bag.Build quality is very good, nice seams etc. I got a lot of use out my last one, which was only retired due to an unfortunate accident. I machine washed it maybe 5 times with almost no shrinkage. The size of the Large/XL option may be little on the largish side, since it fits me comfortably and I usually have trouble finding a hat that's big enough. You could probably give a very hot wash and dry if it seems too big.So it's a great bargain IMHO, don't hesitate.

As mentioned, it runs a little Large.. I normally wear a Small, Small/Medium, and this small/medium is pretty loose. Good thing it has a chin rope, or it would blow off in a wind gust. Great hat though!, Comfortable, Good air flow, and looks like pretty good Quality, especially considering the price. I'll add that I shave my head, so you guys that with hair might get by better then those of us with no cushion to take up the slack. I'm very Satisfied, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another couple in different colors, if it was a better fit for me..... I don't think you will find a better hat at this price, and maybe not, even at a higher price...
