Pretty sturdy
This isn't exactly for a colt style revolver but, I had to try. The nipples had been on for years and 2 of them wouldn't come out. I actually broke 2 nipple wrenches trying to get them out before I got this one. It is a very snug fit on that type of revolver and won't spin completely around but, I got enough of a bite to break them loose which is all I needed. This is much stronger and better built than the others I have

It was worth it to hear Alexa say ‘Your nipple wrench has arrived.’

One Size Doesn’t Fit All
This is a well built tool. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit (diameter is too small) the nipple on my Zoli riffle. I am hoping I can find nipples that fit my rifle and the nipple wrench.

It all works great

Doesn’t work
Does not fit muzzle loader nipple. Not even closely. The hole inner diameter is not large enough to seat over the nipple to allow the flat sections to grip the sides. This is a .50 cal T&C Hawkin in the photo.

Maybe better used on Sidelock Rifles NOT revolvers
The media could not be loaded. The description only says it fits #10 and #11 nipples. The PACKAGE says designed to remove or tighten percussion nipples on most SIDELOCK RIFLES.So that’s why it won’t fit on my Pietta 1851 Navy BP revolver. Functionally it might work on a modern BP rifle or maybe kit - just checked it won’t fit in my CVA muzzle loading kit rifle. I think for the rifle, if the notch hole was smaller AND was square not round it “might” fit better on the shoulder of the nipple. There is noticeable “daylight” when the nipple is in the wrench. The picture doesn’t show the distance between the sides well, but does demonstrate the large hole and round versus square notch might work better.Filing it square won’t work as it will make it even wider. At this point drilling a smaller hole then cutting it flush, square off the round hole to appropriate size will make this work - hopefully… 🤦🏻♂️Needle is soft metal so be careful as another said it can bend/break easily. Other than that, it is finished nicely and needle fits well.Sorry about the jumpy video using my phone instead of a proper camera.
