Probably the Best Workout Shorts I Have Ever Owned
I needed to update my workout wardrobe but was tired of spending $80 to $100 for a single pair of shorts. I came across the Hyperflex gym shorts by Anthem Athletics (on sale for $35) and the Athletic Gym shorts by G Gradual (priced at an almost too good to be true $20) and decided to buy one of each to compare. Both shorts had essentially the same good reviews on Amazon and figured the G Gradual shorts were so cheap that it was worth the risk. Overall, I am extremely happy with both brands. Both shorts are super comfortable and perform well when working out. I have used them each for multiple CrossFit workouts and outdoor runs as well as just going through my normal daily routine, and I have zero complaints for either. The material moves and stretches with your body so you can focus on the workout without worrying about the shorts getting in the way. Both shorts look very similar in terms of their overall design. The only differences between the two is the material on the Anthem Athletics shorts feels a little more substantial, so it seems like they may hold up a little better over time. That said, I do not have any concerns about the G Gradual shorts wearing out any time soon. Additionally, the pockets on the Anthem shorts are slightly wider across the top opening, so it is a little easier to put your hand in when you need to get something out. Both have pockets that are more than big enough to hold my phone and whatever else I need while working out, and the zipper closures make sure everything stays where it is supposed to. Overall, because of the slightly more substantial feel to the material and the slightly roomier pockets, I think the Anthem shorts are just a little bit better than the G Graduals if money were no object. However, the value of the G Graduals cannot be beat when you consider that they cost barely half as much. I liked these both so much I bought two more pairs of each. I ordered the first shorts extra-large even though my waist size is large according to the chart they provided since I had seen some reviews that said the sizing runs “snug” and I hate tight shorts and hate the hassle of returning things. My experience is that the sizing is consistent with the charts they provide, so I ordered larges for the additional shorts, which fit perfectly. I am 6’ 2” / 185 lbs and the 7” short falls an inch or two above my knee.

I'm a big fan of these shorts. Comfortable and durable.
I have ordered several pairs of these shorts. They are on the pricey side, compared to a lot of other options you can find on Amazon, but I think they are worth it. There is a lot to love about them... The shorts are comfortable. They have the right amount of stretch to them. They fit me very well, just snug enough in the rear and legs to keep them out of your way when running but still very comfortable and breathable. Because of this, the shorts are very multifunctional. They're great for running, lifting, or any type of sport. They have two zipper pockets. At first I was not a fan of the idea of a zippered pocket but I've grown to love them. The zippers run almost horizontally a bit back on the hip and they are high quality. If unzipped, you can easily retrieve what you are carrying. With it zipped, they are secure. I love the pocket position because I can hold my phone in them and not have it swing around when I'm running. These are my favorite workout/running shorts. I've bought 4 pair. Very happy with them.

Nice product but did not work for me
This seems like a quality product and was very comfortable. It is very light-weight and not at all restrictive, so very comfortable. I think it would be good for working out in. I returned mine for 2 reasons: 1) I fell between two sizes. The small fit well in the waist but was a bit tight in the seat. The medium fit better in the seat, but was too loose in the waist. This may be because of my odd-shaped body and may not affect others. My waist by the tape measure is 31" and my seat measurement is 37". I usually wear a size 30" jeans, sometimes 31". 2) The material is very light-weight and soft and also has a lot of stretch. This is probably a great choice for working out. However, a side-effect is that it shows a lot of detail of what is underneath on both the back and the front. For normal modesty, especially if you are using this short as casual wear, I think you will have to pay a lot of attention to your choice of underwear. A compression short underneath might create a good look with this short, but normal boxers and some briefs telegraphed much too much detail of my anatomy to be acceptable to me in public.

Had these a few months now and use them frequently for squats, deadlifts, bench, row, military press etc. Great gym shorts. Highly recommended! These will not rip when squatting unlike sportsworld (uk) slazenger shorts, which i will never buy again. I lile they have back/side pockets should you need them. They haven't shrank in the wash either which is a plus.

Dont recommend. Material feels like a high quality pair of boxers. Not sure why i paid so much, but since i live overseas im stuck with them. If they were about $20, id have rates it higher. Fits ok (like boxers, I wouldnt wear them outside except maybe to the gym)
