It may be pricey, but it is so tender it almost melts in your mouth. If you can spare the money, I highly recommend it.

Granted this is an unusually mild and delicate tuna. But. It doesn't much taste like tuna. For me, all canned tuna has a certain taste and flavor. The superior tunas, (Callipo. Ortiz, Tonino, Wild Planet), have a far better taste, but it's still tuna. The Ventresca doesn't; it isn' closer to fresh in flavor, it's just mild, a flavor all its own.. I understand it is. considered gourmet, but if I want gourmet, I'll buy fresh. Frankly, I was disappointed - why pay a premium price for tuna that doesn't taste like tuna ?

Wow. This is an indulgence. This is...decadent. It was just silky, and wow. Yeah, it's expensive, too expensive to just stock the cabinet with a bunch of cans, but if you're feeling like treating yourself once in a while, this is the way to go. The best cooked Tuna I have ever had.

I tried this item and the larger sized Bonita del Norte in a jar. This item Ortiz ventresca Bonita del Norte the best tuna in a can I have ever tasted, but a treat since it is over ten bucks a can. The jar is larger, but not ventresca. It is very good and a better value for me. I will just dream about this item until the price goes down..

Crusty Italian Bread, toasted, with a sliver of this tuna. Simply Sublime, down to the last drop. We buy it in bulk when we can!

I wish it was a bit more reasonably priced but the best canned Tuna I've ever had. Actually, some of the better tuna, I've had. Great flavor and consistency. The ease of being able to pop the tin and throw it in on some lightly dressed greens or pasta makes it a great cupboard staple.

This tuna is pricey but it's like no other. It practically melts in your mouth.
