Ingram Fountain Pen, Smoke Black with Rose Gold Trim, Smooth Flow Medium Nib, with 2 Black Ink Cartridges, Ink Refill Converter, PU Leather Executive Gift Box

I already had a Lamy but wanted a fountain pen with finer nib. I bought this pen after reviewing many other pens- this one didn't have a review so I was taking a risk! The set comes with two cartridges- I must say that the ink quality is not that great. Thnakfully there is the refillable 'converter' so I put my own ink in it. The first pen I got was probably a dud one because it didn't write well and when I took off the cap, the section unwound off as well, resulting in leaks. I wrote to Ingram pens after a month of use and they replaced the pen. The new pen writes beautifully, is light and has a good grip. Attached is the thank you letter I sent to Ingram pens written with it.

This pen feels luxurious to use and glides smoothly when writing. I am not a pen expert, just an enthusiast, but I've written with pens that make my hand tired due to imbalance. I felt that the weight of this pen was balanced well for my hand (I have big hands) and I am able to write for a longer period of time with it. It looks great and comes presented very nicely with a storage box to house the pen when not in use. I haven't had any issues with it and so am happy with my purchase. Looking forward to the other Ingram pens in the future.

Perfect fountain pen. Solid materials, no problems in use and looks and feels good. The refillable cartridge is a smaller type so it requires filling fairly regularly, but there's a certain aesthetic pleasure in drawing up ink to fill your pen instead of using disposable cartridges.The nib is perfect for middle road. Neither too thick, nor too thin.It even comes wiyh a lovely flip-up case of faux leather which I had not expected!Thank you very much for it! I will likely buy Ingram in the future. I'd have bought ink from them too if they'd sold it.

could you explain to me how you get the ink to flow to the pen nib

I’m a bit old fashioned, I like to use a fountain pen rather than a ballpoint. I use them everyday. This pen is astounding value for money, I’ve got more expensive pens that don’t work day to day as well. The nib is robust, not too thick. It writes really well without leaving smudges or trails.It can use cartridges or ink with equal results, I highly recommend it to anyone using a fountain pen for the first time, or indeed old hands like myself.

I held off reviewing this for a little while as I wanted to make sure that it didn't have problems after being filled with ink, and I'm happy to say it's been fine. I like this pen a lot. I prefer refills from bottles of ink rather than swapping cartridges and the provided refill container makes this straightforward.It looks very nice, it writes smoothly and it's friendly to hold. The only thing I might have liked is a few more grams of weight, as although very well built it feels quite light in the hand. This is a subjective preference though, and I'm sure for other people the light weight would be a benefit. Overall I'm very happy with it.

Bought as gift and was immediately asked to post this (she's very very happy)This fountain pen is of a standard one would expect from a high end supplier. It's well balanced and weighted to give a good glide when writing. The tip is well designed and of a suitable thickness and the overall aesthetic is of a luxury product. This would make a perfect gift presented in its gift box and is made all the more special for supporting a smaller business

This pen looks absolutely fantastic - very stylish. I was initially delighted, then several occurred. I contacted Ingrams directly when the refill cartridge cracked. They kindly supplied me with a pack of 5 substitutes. I used the pen every day but recently had problems with ink flow. I decided to put another replacement cartridge in only to find that that a small, plastic piece hasd broken making it impossible to fit a cartridge. This one may look fantastic but it's plastic interior is absolute rubbish. I am now looking for another pen.
