This is, imo, one of the best exfoliators available on the market. It's a very SERIOUS exfoliator. It's incredibly powerful and dense with micro-exfoliators. The smallest amount is needed for your entire face, which is beneficial considering this is also one of the most expensive exfoliators I've come across (hence buying a sample tube and not the full sized product).The first time I tried it upon receiving a sample in a foil packet from Sephora, I was absolutely blown away by the result.I'm 34 and have combination skin with larger pores that get crazy clogged as well as having a tendency to acquire dry patches, all of which makes the texture of my skin sometimes rough and uneven. Exfoliants for me are an absolute necessity. I have used so many exfoliators over the years and none have impressed me the way Lancer Polish has.Sometimes I use an exfoliator without wetting my face first for a more intense exfoliation (I do this with SkinCeuticals Micro-Exfoliating Scrub), but with Lancer Polish wetting my face first is absolutely necessary because of how strong it is. You only need about a nickel sized amount for your entire face, maybe even less, any more than that will be overkill and a waste.The scent is fresh, calming and reminds me of the ocean or a spa treatment. It's very pleasant without being too strong.As you start to massage in circular motions it warms up, further opening pores to allow better results. You need only to spend about 5-10 seconds MAX on each area. Any more than this and you run the risk of over exfoliating which will create red, sore, irritated skin that will likely become too dry after healing itself, leaving more dry patches in its wake.After rinsing, my skin is literally baby soft and smoother than porcelain with a glow that is seriously from the inside out. There's a sense of clean that I have yet to experience with any other product I have ever used. This is saying a lot because I am a skincare junkie. It's something you honestly have to experience to appreciate. It's full on magical.I only use this exfoliator once a week and use others in between. This is most definitely not an every day exfoliant!! Can't stress that enough.Since using I have had less dry patches and flakiness, my other skincare products sink into my skin better and work better, makeup applies better and looks better and my skin radiates a healthy youthful glow.This may not be the best exfoliant for younger skin as you may not need this amount of exfoliation yet (I'm talking teens or early 20's), but for aging skin it is GOLD.I can't recommend Lancer Polish enough. It is truly the best exfoliant I have ever ever used and I will have to bite the bullet and shell out the $$$$ for the full size at some point in the near future. I definitely recommend trying a sample before investing in it to make sure it's right for you.
