Asus always best Quality.
Great phone. I have used Asus components for years to build computers and never had an issue with any of it. I did not realize that they also made phones. My old phone was dying and the battery was not replaceable. As soon as I found out I tried to purchase the Zenphone 6. Unfortunately there were no USA Zenphones 6 available, so I had to wait about 6 months. Now that I have received it, it is spectacular. What I like is that the phone is not loaded with Apps that I will never use and some you are forced to pay for which sometimes doubles the price of a good phone. The phone is very smart in doing a lot of things and suggestions along the way using it for texting. The sound and battery life are spectacular. There are numerous options that allow you to personalize the phone they way that you want to. Good reception in fringe areas. There are many things that I could write about that are good, but the list is too long. Incredible. Con= The clear grip case that comes with the phone is too slippery and too thin to protect it, in case it gets dropped. You have to go aftermarket for that item.

Perfect Phone.
So far nothing to complain about the phone. Fast, nice full screen, battery good for a couple of days, great flip camera! The earbuds came with the phone have a faulty mic (completely not working mic), not a big deal though.

So far.. Incredible bang for the buck.
Well I'll start by saying that the phone and display are beautiful. It's smoking fast. I'm on at&t, my signal has been strong. I can't say anything about the longevity of the flip cam as I've only had the phone for two weeks but so far it is more durable than I feared it may be. I really like the google assistant button. I have the two secondary functions set as torch and screen shot. Works real nice and it is convenient. The battery life is just absolutely stupid. I use my phone a lot during the day for light gaming, reddit, gps, dating apps ect. At the end of most days I still have 40% or more. Last Sunday I woke up and stayed in bed for three hours playing clash royale. After the lazy gaming session it still had 80% battery life if that gives you an example. I've spent a little time with the camera and haven't been disappointed. It is high quality no doubt. The software isn't bad but I'm sure it isn't close to google or apple. With that said, I have taken the best selfies that I personally have ever took with a phone to date. There isn't much not to like about this phone unless you really don't want a motorized camera or all glass phone. It is a big phone so if you aren't into that then you wont be into this. It is a media consumption monster. As far as UI and this version of android goes. I've used Samsung, LG, Motorola, and stock android. This is very close to stock and easy to navigate. There are a few things that could be better that I can list as negatives about and I'm sure they are cost cutting measures which is to be expected. The vibrating motor is very weak in comparison to almost every phone I have used. Also the auto brightness can be spot on and not at times. For example I mount the phone in the top right corner of my windshield on the way home from work to use waze. It seems like the sensor will think it is dark and dim the screen down low when I'm being blasted by sunlight through my window. The battery is so beast you could really leave it on max brightness if you wanted to. Those are my thoughts hope it helps.

Awesome phone.
I have a long line of Asus phones since the launch of the infamous Zenfone 2 with intel processor, I've always used and were quite satisfied Asus customer of computer parts, laptops and routers so tried a phone. It was promising but Intel pulling the rug killed it basically. It had issues, I liked the form and design and software (yes, the bloated Asus software of then had some good things I liked) that I ended buying a ZF2 Laser with an Snapdragon and it was good, then went with a ZF3 Deluxe (5.5") and it was even better, it went thru 3 major Android OS which broke all the expectations on the updates front from Asus, in 2017 I went for the ZF4 Pro, it was expensive, had good specs for the era and sincerely, has been the most solid phone I've ever had since a Nokia or Siemens sport beast I had many moons ago. Doubt it would be updated to Pie but has been rock solid, security updates keep coming though, forced myself to not buy anything of the ZF5 era as this one was still to good and still is. Now battery is showing the wear of very heavy use after close to 2 years. With the ZF6 specs and design, I just went for it, not that into the camera and the selfie thing but having the whole screen for you without any notch, punch, drop... design failure was very tempting. So I went for it and think I can print myself a shirt that says "I survived the stupid notched phone era | 2017-2019". Personally never understood why the push for edge to edge display if you are going to cut off part of it. No idea why. The idea of the motorized camera is worrying and only time will tell if the approach is correct. I think that just leaving an edge for the needed hardware is still the way to go. I think the camera will mostly stay where it is once the novelty passes, let's see. What worried me the most with all the reviews was the screen, everybody was complaining of it not having an OLED screen and coming from one in the ZF4 Pro I was like.... but I must say that personally, sure there are better screens on devices that double the price of the ZF6 but this screen is great, colors can be as saturated as the OLED screen tends to be if you want, doesn't look washed, definition is great, I am very happy. Phone is non bloated, I am running Nova as I do with every phone but everything in this device seems like a huge upgrade from the previous, device is great, have a flagship feeling, look and performance. The only thing you need to consider is a better case than the provide one as it is just a solid shell and not silicone like the previous models (justified with the camera swiveling I guess) and that the phone is heavier than I expected (even that I expected it not being light due to the huge battery) Oh the battery life.... First phone I ever install everything for over a day without charging and battery was 47% when I started. Hope that with time, it stays nice :-)

3 months in - falling apart
Initially this seemed like a great phone. Screen is nice, photos were good. However 3 months after receiving it the flip camera does not properly retract nor extend all the way, the speakers have started to crackle at times and to add to this the physical volume button has fallen off. All of this under normal usage and with a protective case on it. In addition the Asus warranty does not cover repair of any of these issues so buyer beware. I'd stay away from this one and perhaps any Asus phone with this sort of support.

Nice phone packed with flagship specs
I bought this phone for my dad and it's a gorgeous looking phone. The flip camera is nice because you no longer have to worry about a camera in your face all the time. The stereo speakers are nice and have an outdoor setting to pump it up even louder. The phone also has an aux port, much needed when he's driving my mom's car. I have a Sony Xz3 and am slightly envious.

If it's in your budget not a bad choice
Great phone, performs extremely well and lasts about three days light use, two days heavy. About once a month I have to reboot the phone due to auto rotation becoming unresponsive. The bezels are too thin for my hands so I have a case that adds some girth to it. Security updates are about one month behind the latest but happen monthly which was true for the zenfone 4 as well. Zenfone 2 wasn't as frequent...nice to see Asus step up their game in that dept. The camera takes really nice pictures most of the time however I have noticed some over sharpening especially when HDR is on. Slowmo video is amazing even with 720p/480fps and this phone has slofies due to the nature of the camera setup. Wide angle lense is as good as the zenfone 4 wide angle in my opinion. The motor on the camera is solid and have wowed many people with it.

Excellent althought not necessarily the best.
Now that I've had this phone for a month I wanted to pass along some of my feelings on it. Screen: great any time you aren't in direct bright sunlight. Lcd vs oled whatever it's a good screen Sound: music sounds great (relatively), call quality is like 6/10 though. Earpiece is somehow on the wrong side of the phone?! Camera: like 9/10, maybe not the best out there, but only barely worse than the best. I love the camera and the built in app is good. Speed: quick, no issues here. Battery: one of the best. Somehow less than my Huawei Mate 9, but still very good. Could use some firmware efficiency upgrades to make it better. Connectivity: okay. Bluetooth has intermittent issues where it cuts out randomly and I have to pause and start to get it to work. Seems to only happen in some apps. 4G is okay, but doesn't support some important TMobile bands. I'd buy it again, but see what's important to you before buying this over some other also great phones.
