I have purchased three Shashibo cubes as gifts for kids (ages 9 and 13). They have been enjoyed by the recipients, teenagers, and adults. - They’re fun fidgets to manipulate into surprising shapes. We like to come up with names for the different shapes. - Order at least two because fitting shapes together to create new designs is even more intriguing. - The designs and colors are vibrant and pleasing to the eye. - The cubes are expensive, especially to buy multiples. It’s best to buy them when the price is lower - watch the price history and wait for the lower price.

So I bought this after watching some TikTok Video showcasing how fantastic it is! I have to agree that it is very fun to play around with and get it to form new shapes. It is actually quite difficult to learn the different patterns and be able to get it to form the shapes you want but I guess that's part of the puzzle experience. What I do not like about this product is that it is that I'm constantly in fear of breaking it. It seems like it is made out of plastic triangle pieces held together by "stickers" on the flat surface of the triable. While I have had not had an experience where I have ripped through the sticker material holding the edges together, I feel like it could happen at any moment, especially as I'm learning and moving quickly through the folding and unfolding of different shapes. Some of the turns require a little bit of force to get it to "pop" into the right position thought and its nerve-wracking to engage in this type of behavior. I just really wish that it was held together with a stronger material so I could have more confidence that my turning won't break it. I think these would be cool in a gift shop as a novelty toy.

A cool toy. I purchased this for my 6th grade grandson for Easter. I had it try it...so I took it out. Haven't figured out how to get it back in the box yet. Quality es not slick, but more of a heavy card or fabric surface. Fun for him!

This toy was a big hit with my 8 year old step-grandson. We also gave him a Lego Ferrari and I think he liked this shape shifting box better (and he really likes Legos). Well made and a lot of fun to play with. Even the adults were intrigued by all the different shapes it makes. It has magnets in it so the shapes stay together very well. I definitely recommend it.

Given as a gift for a 5 year old boy. Great toy for long trips. fun to use, keeps kids awaqy from screens.

The product is just ok. Kids played with it few times but not something I would really say any kid needs to get .. but is not very expensive so giftable..

Fantastic piece of engineering and design. Bought two for my girls with ADHD for Christmas and I personally couldn't put it down. Keeps them and me entertained and disconnected from screens. Already purchased another 3 to add to the others (2 for me of course!) to see what funky shapes can be made by adding up to 6 to the mix. Outstanding product.

These shashibos are so cool. I buy 4 new ones for my kids stockings every year. They’re cool to use by themselves but they’re SO fun when you use them together. We now have 10 of them if I’m not mistaken, and my one little guy is 10 and always coming up with wild new creations to make with them. The magnetic clicks are SO satisfying and it’s just a really fun, quality fidget. We’ve had some of these over 2 years now and keep buying more when they’re on sale. 100% worth every penny (they’re usually just under $30 and go on sale for $20ish occasionally). These are fun gifts for anyone from kids to adults who like fidgets. Ours are typically used as a piece of “art” when my kids are done playing with them so they stay out on display since we have so many now (and they just look so cool - see the photo for a display idea. I believe this used all 10 of them).

I am new to fidgets and saw a YouTube video of a woman showing this Shashibo cube. I knew I had to have it. I searched on Amazon and this was the only product that was great. However, it is kind of expensive $35 and I got 2 but well worth the money (the vid also said the same thing). I got (red) optical illusion and the blue planet on June 14, 2021, and received it on Jun. 26, 2021. I was freaking out and played with it immediately. I couldn't let it go. It's super satisfying fidgeting with it, the colors, clicking, and the different shapes it makes. I have been playing with the red one more than the blue as it was used to make a bigger structure but found out that you don't really play with them both at the same time. When you are done with 1 shape you just add the 2nd shape to it. I have been showing this fidget to everyone. My husband hates fidgets and things that constantly make clicking noises. One time I went to church with my husband, on our way back home, we had an argument and instead of me being irrational & freaking out and yelling, I took out my fidget and started fidgeting, after he was done talking there was silence (I am still fidgeting at this point to the end of convo), I then replied in a calm, respectful, polite manner (which btw never happens, until now) to him. He looked at my fidget and said hmm, there might be a positive to this fidget. I am super happy, satisfied, and content. Fidgets are great for children/teens/ppl with anxiety and ADD/ADDHD/ADHD, stress and honestly, everyone can benefit from it with or without a disability. I just got 1 for my step-daughter and will in the future buy one for my 3 grandkids (1 coming) However, I have an OCD component to my ADD and do try my best to not buy all fidgets that I see. I do see a lot of vids with teens/children/adults having massive fidget collections, I would be careful to not go overboard with it. It is addicting for all ages. I didn't know this before till now but there is such a thing as name brand fidgets. I bought no-name ones from Amazon (China), and they don't work properly and can break. When you buy the name brand it works correctly, is more expensive, and is quality-made. There are pros and cons to all fidgets but if your child/teen needs to, they should. It helps to calm, comfort, get rid of stress and anxiety also get rid of all/most background noises/thoughts such as stimming for autism.
